I'm neurodivergent. The amount of eyerolls and exhausted sighs that come out of adult NTs when I asked for accommodations or for certain favors is uncomfortable. Autistic people have no empathy? Bullshit. Most NDs are super empathetic because we know how it feels like to be dismissed.
If neurotypicals were the ones that were more empathetic, they wouldn't be ableists; and they wouldn't have built a world that excludes the needs of neurodivergent people (especially autistics) so that their needs seem "special" or "demanding" when they are not. Exactly! Honestly I don't understand why some people can't go just a centimeter out of their way to do a simple acomadation for things. I've had teacher's that get mad at me for doodling in class as a coping mechanism for my ADHD, family members who don't understand that hearing their voice physically hurts my ears, people who outwright ignore (very easy to follow) physical boundaries, and am currently dealing with the issue of someone blasting base every night in my dorms. If people just made it normal to ask everyone, divergent or typical, what little things could be done to make them more comfortable going about life and made talking about boundaries and needs a normal occurrence, life for everyone would be so much easier.
I have SEVERE emotional empathy, but have basically zero cognitive empathy. If I see someone cry, I usually cry too. But certain things that I can't see physically occurring or that i have never felt in a person, I will never understand. (Example: Death. I feel nothing surrounding humans dying. I never have, never will. I will use a real life example of mine. My grandmother died of metastatic breast cancer. She was sick. Then she was dead. That to me makes sense. Yes, I was close to her. But I didn't feel anything about her death. I only cried because someone else cried. I felt so bad for that person for feeling so bad that they cried. But i couldn't understand why they were crying.)
Additional things; if you modify your clothes a lot u can make plushies out of the scraps. It takes about an hour for me to do this, but time is going to vary. But if you don't have old stuffing u can use the scraps n places where the og fabric fit together. For context I tend to make a lot of crop tops/cut off tanks/just take some fabric off them to make them a better fit to my body. But yeah use ur sewing scraps to make plushies. Doesn't even have to be for yourself. Make them n give them as gifts.
Another thing about bikes and sidewalks: my entire area I live in, with hundreds of houses has no sidewalks at all. (Not to mention the fact that’s it’s impossible to get to the nearest thing that isn’t a house unless your in a car)

13:33 i don't have a diagnosis yet(getting evaluated in 2 months) but i've grown up around neurodivergent ppl and i'm defiantly neurodivergent and this video brought out so much anger in me. like of if the previous tiktoks said, i have hidden my emotions and neglected my needs so much to pleas my abusive father that i don't even realize when i need something. i am working on this though and learning skills. anyway, i have been so against sunglasses for so long (just i always refused to wear them, not thinking they're bad) that i forgot why i ever stopped wearing them. some girl in 1st grade said that i was a whiny baby for needing sunglasses and a teacher got mad at me for wearing them in class. now, in 8th grade i'm finally getting the tools i need to be comfortable, just like the other kids my mom used to work with(she helps adults now) it sounds kinda dumb but sunglasses, a chewy necklace and noise canceling headphones are probably some of the most important things to me. if ur going thru this, remember, be yourself and don't let anyone put you down for being different

Yeah i was born a girl, yes i do not identify as one, but i still like skirts.
