Bonzi Wells himself was an underrated player. I remember him on the Kings in the playoffs with Ron Artest. Bonzi was a beast on that team.
Bonzi was a hell of a player in his day.
He used to back down and score easily on young Kobe in the post.
Mike James had a lethal 3. Loved Mike James in nba live early 2000s
R.I.P Andre Emmet taught me how to score off the jab with only two dribbles one on one
YMCA demon?
@@user-cr5ts5fl6t huh? 😂 what u mean by that
Šarūnas Marčiulionis 🔥
The first Soviet player who really fit in the NBA. Fast, strong, smart, a really smooth athlete.
Roony!!!!!
You know Rasheed is gonna butcher his name lol.. Wamba Wamba will stick just like ball don’t lie lol
ANDRE EMMETT - - - he used to hang out in my dorm lobby and would play pool by himself - - - he didn't even live there, just like to hang out - - - absolute bucket AND slam dunk champ! RIP
Marciulionis never played for the nets. That was Drazen Petrovic
He also wasn't a point guard. Rasheed says a lot of things that are false.
@@WestcountyWill Ya Sarunas did not pass, lol. Drazen could play a little point if he had to.
I think for euro players in my era. Ak47 Andrei Kirilenko. I think he might've been the best defensive European player ever. Long arms and he would punch people's shit man. It was weird cuz he seemed so frail but he had a nice run before injuries.
Ak47 was the truth one of my favorite NBA yt boys 🫡💯🤷🏾♂️🤣
Ya he was a stud, filled up every stat category
Baron Davis !!!
@@JR-ej9up bd definitely got em 💯🤷🏾♂️
Great mention
Marculinus played with run TMC
I seen one time Timmy said he was the Run in Run TMC
Walt Williams “The Wizard” #42 is that guy…
Always was one of my favorite players for a 6’8 2Guard -Scoring 3 and D type Wing, Hybrid Point Forward… Highly Underrated
And the socks
And the tempo taper haircut! Straight from D.C!
@@silascrawford6377 : You Already Know…
@@Pop_Richie : funny how Washington is The Wizards Now Too 😂😂😂
FINALLY!! Somebody gave him a mention! Man Listen!! Šarūnas Marčiulionis was a flat out baller. I mean flat out he could shoot the 3, his mid range was nice! And he could take you off the dribble, he was strong!! I cant believe nobody until now ever brings up his name when they talk about ballers from the not too long ago past. Dude was ill!!
And yea Mike James is also one to mention, he could really shoot the 3, for real, for real. He was ahead of his time, he would of made more waves in todays era.
Marciulionis + Run TMC put on a show against the Lakers in the 1991 playoffs.
@billmorrison9068 yes indeed! I was there with my HS basketball team! Hardaways crossover was at its Prime.
Mullin was money! And Richmond was probably top three amonsgt the 2 way players in the game at that point.
Thick as an oak tree. His coast to coast was lit; nobody wanted any of that smoke when he came into the lane full speed. They just got the eff out the way
@@jakeb3055 exact!! 🎯
Saw Sarunas play in person, dudes first step was lightning quick and with that linebacker strength good luck stopping him.
Sarunas drove to the hole like a bat out of hell. Him and Mitch were my favorite players growing up.
2:45 - played with Derrick Coleman.
are you mixing him up with Dražen Petrović?
During an exhibition game, my teammate and Marčiulionis were going at it and my man was getting the best of Marčiulionis.
But the Marčiulionis shut all down all that scoring when he said, "The only difference between me and you is, I'll be in the NBA next year and you will still be in college." My man was self-checked after hearing this shit. LOL
Raimondas Šarūnas Marčiulionis was built like a linebacker or tight end. Strong ass man
Ya he was a beast and with a lightning quick first step, near impossible stopping him from getting to the hoop on a drive.
Shoutout to Mike James! I used to look up at his jersey in high school, Amityville Legend! He comes out here to ball most summers.. man is filthy now can only imagine back then.
A-Ville never ran never will!
@@dmfnigel4829 straight up
Michael Redd was a walking bucket
Redd had a 3 year stretch where he was lethal
But he was pretty much known to be a scorer. That Bucks team in the early 2000's was pretty stacked with Big Dog Robinson, Michael Redd, Ray Allen, Cassell.
I remember Mike James and Moochie Norris were the two guys in Houston when I was in high school that everybody had stories about showing up to their park and dominating, it was very cool that both eventually made the league and Mike James managed to have a long career.
I love how Sheed keeps shining a light on forgotten TRUE GAME LEGENDS who most have forgotten or don't know about, but were innovators and had a serious impact on the game just by being in the lineup such as my main man Walt Williams. Cold as ice FROM DEEP. Great to see Bonzi too! Bonzi is a forgotten legend. He was doing stuff with the gather step on the inside with footwork and timing that you see guys use today in an exaggerated way since they don't call travels. Bonzi wasn't travelling, nope. David Stern was the commish. You better believe he'd have cracked down. Coaches clearly saw his footwork and now you can see it used at times by some of the more agile bigs of today, who wish they could play more like the underrated and undersized Bonzi who was not a big at all, but a truly crafty player.
Walt Williams with that high socks and the tempo taper haircut!! Straight from D.C yung! 😂 💯💪🏾🤙🏾
I think sheed was talking about Petro.
R.I.P.
I just saw a highlight reel of him. Buddy was cold work. Driving mid traffic behind the back for a pumpfake lay up. Nasty!
Highlight of who? They brought up like 3 players
@@mj45532Marciulenis
@@mj45532 the European dude. I didn’t feel like typing his name
Stacey Augmon aka Plasticman. Played with y'all
I remember roony on the kings back in 95-96 when i first became a kings fan. Walt williams was on that team to then he got traded to the heat for billy owens.
Mike James and Lindsey Hunter off the bench!
Both of them was dope asf
Hell yeah!!!
Soooooooo underrated. Marculionous was a beast. Pure and smooth. So glad they mentioned him. He’s never talked about. Walt Wizard was a pure scorer.
Marciulionis was definitely with Run TMC the entire time. Finished 2nd for 6MOY one year, was puttin up almost 20 off the bench that year.
Cool to see somebody giving him props I never hear his name brought up in any discussions, he was most definitely the first Ginobili. Their games are almost identical.
Always felt the same way about Brad Daugherty and Tim Duncan. Not saying Brad was as good, just the way they move around is almost like a mirror image.
In Lithuania, dude was Michael Jordan 🇱🇹 In hs, I used to hit the weights real hard, because I wanted to look like him 💪
Rest up Andre Emmett, Dallas legend!🤲🏾💐
AS a life long Warrior's fan I can tell you Šarūnas Marčiulionis gave us somehting we just donlt see anymore. A guy who would take a 22 footer, then crash the backboard for his own rebound.
The volume on this needs turned up fellas my pos headphones have a hard time listening to this podcast and I love it
Roony played with Run TMC
Someone I haven't heard mentioned in a while is the guy traded for Vince on draft night - Antawn Jamison.
I just looked at his stats - I can't believe he only made 2 all star teams.
Not as flashy as Vince, but Antawn was really solid for a really long time. He had a high skill level for his position.
Everybody knew Antawn Jamison back in the day. He's just being forgotten progressively as lots of the most important and known players of those times that were not supertars or had that much success.
No team success will do that. The warriors were a trash franchise until steph came along. They were a little better during the we believe era but some of that was luck but the years between we believe and webber were brutal
Petrovic RIP was the first Sheed
Sheed, I love you, man. Loved your Pistons. (Could’ve done without the temper, tho…) But you just turned 77 years old. Put your hat on straight.
He played with run Tmc not before them
Sarunas was pound for pound one of the strongest players in the league. His hands were ridiculous.
Bonzi was a great spot up shooter in his hay
Watch Lithuania vs the Dream Team. Sarūnas Marčiulionis was quick as heck, very athletic. He did better than Sabonis did against the Dream Team.
I could’ve listened to this for a long spell
Sheed was mixing up Sarunas Marciulionis with Drazen Petrovic. Marciulionis played with Golden State but Petrovic played with Derrick Coleman on the Nets.
Sarunas Marciulionis (sp?) was nasty, super strong and a lightning quick first step, he could get to the hoop on anyone and draw the foul, thing is he got robbed by the refs all the time, should have got to the line more than he did, refs just like now hate the Euro players, even worse back then. Dude though was instant offense.
Walt Williams baby!!! The wizard! Go Terps!
Some players will thrive regardless of situation.
Some players because of the coach or system or just because of personal reason even though they have all the talent won't thrive as much.
Some just because of where they played juat never get the same publicity.
Sarunas played with Run TMC
Mark Price was another headache of a point guard who knew how to split through the double teams
Facts about Dre!
PDX still ❤s Sheed and Bonzi
Sheed is the most underrated player of my life time. I'm 46.
Carlos Delfino!
Buck Williams was cold
Sheed we need that f&ck outta here merch
Facts ❤he was nice..
Sarunas could cook man.
Sharoonas "too strong" Marciulionis, was THE strongest guard on the Warriors roster if not NBA at that time... Mitch Richmond (he played american football a bit) could do nothin with Sharas in practice
Dave Wood
SAM CASSELL & TIM THOMAS 🤷🏿♂️
Mike James Long Island
No Darrell Armstrong??
I be killing with Darrell Armstrong on 94-95 Magic on NBA2k
Obviously not
Mike WHO 😂😂😂 mike James shout out mike who
Drazen Petrovic was a bad dude from that early European wave
MONTA ELLIS .. AL JEFFERSON ..
Jefferson made all star teams
@@tymciach5003al jeff made zero all star teams and 1 all nba team. He was underrated.
Monta could of been a all star when he averaged 25 in 08-09-BC before curry
Neither of them went under the radar. They were very known offensive threats.
@@jiovanysoltero923When they paired up they were already killing it offensively tho. It's just that the team had a little more than that in project for the future...
Neva heard of any of deez players
Rasheed is one of the few ex nba players that has no problem giving white nba players credit lol
You see how white people get so excited when we bring up a European player. We need to stand behind ours the same.
Sheed was nothing more than a stretch four with occasional post moves and rim pressure. Complete waste of his talent tbh
Lies...waste of talent?? U buggging
@@Westside19th Bugging how? With his combination of athleticism, size/length, post skills, and shooting touch, he should have been a perennial MVP candidate, but instead never even averaged 20 ppg in a season once.
@@EASYMONEYSNlPER it wasn't necessary for Sheed to be a huge scorer every night given the teams he was on who already had 1st and 2nd scoring options before him. He was a great defender as well.
@@EASYMONEYSNlPER u neva watched enuff of Rasheed to believe dat BS u said bein "a waste of talent"😅😅😅u trolling
I mean easymoney is kind of right. When we talk about Chuck, Malone, Timmy, KG, Dirk we think about top tier PFs in history of the game. Sheed didnt have less talent than any of those guys, but you would never put him on same tier list as guys mentioned before. Sheed just didnt care, basketball even isnt his first or second favorite sport. I will always remember him as one of the most talented 4s in basketball history, as an NBA champion, NBA all star, technical fouls king... But also as one of those who had the talent and all the tools to be one of the best, but he better chose a joint instead of work after practice.
as a raptors fan mike james was a cold mf i watched him when he played with us this dude doesn’t get the credit he deserves he was tough
Sheed was mixing up Sarunas Marciulionis with Drazen Petrovic. Marciulionis played with Golden State but Petrovic played with Derrick Coleman on the Nets.
