I’ve been listening to the new album for a couple of weeks now. After listening to the title track a few times, it slowly dawned on me that it might be about Charlie Haden, and that’s how I found this documentary about the song! Beautiful... And I love the rest of the album, too. Thank you!!!
Wonderful to discover! I lost track of the band over the years. I just remember thinking Rachel was preternaturally good-looking. 😅 And she's still as lovely as ever!
Fun fact: Maya Rudolph was one of the founding members of The Rentals, whose front man was the original bassist for Weezer (Matt Sharp), and Weezer had Rachel Haden sing lead vocals on their iconic b-side, "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams"
Abrumado por semejante belleza, y puedo imaginar a Charlie Haden tocando cálidas lineas de bajo en algún sitio, siguiendo espíritu único de esta canción.
I always loved their song Minneapolis
Still … after all these years … those gorgeous harmonies.
bringing tears to our eyes to see talent we've admired from the scene over the last 20+ years performing on this record with the band.
What a gift, that this album exists, that this video exists.
I've liked That Dog since Retreat From The Sun Came Out and recently bought the Old LP. This mini doc made me want to cry. Very moving music.
INCREDIBLE. Now if that doesn't make you cry your dead inside. So touching. Favorite track on new album!

Overwhelmed for such awesome beauty, and I can imagine Charlie Haden playing warm bass lines somewhere, following these unique song's spirit.
This is a masterpiece.

Jesus fuck, how is this not the biggest song in the galaxy?

No comment that Anna's father is famous producer Lenny Waronker?! No comment that Maya Rudolph's late mother was singer Minnie Ripperton?!
You can see the Minnie Ripperton LP "Stay in love" spinning at 7'52". Nice touch.
@@fromthe90s21 And a Charlie Haden (Rachel's dad) LP at the end.

Sounds like a Disney song.
I'd love to think that this had kind of inspired Weezer's Ok Human. That Dog and Weezer were good friends.
Dang, they’re pretty deep.
Anna is still the same classic beauty she was in the 90s.
5:52 Is it me or does the conductor look an awful lot like character actor Matt Clark?
aaaaaaaaaaa!
