the first time i commented on this video was 3 years ago with my old account. it was the first video i ever commented on because i wanted to say i watch this at least 10 times a week. i haven't stopped watching it 10 times a week. even 3 years later.
I've never heard a bad live performance of this song. Period. That's it. I've never seen him give so much to the performance of one song, as much as this one. It's....amazing, to say the least. Obviously a song dear to him. =)
dooooooood.... i reallly hope they do this song tomorrow night!!!! lol @ this video, look how small the place looks, they're just like so layd back and the guy just like crowd surfs in front of him ahhh, man why did he cut his hair, looked hell good long lol
@WillCrearyRA Haha, i saw your comment like 2 years ago! when the vid had like 4k views or so. This is some of the best RA footage there is. Makes you feel you're there..
@punkrocker26960 yeah i agree. i don;t know what his vocal abilities are compared to chris' and zach's, but i really liked the guitar work on RPM, lots of backwards power chords and other cool shit like that
tim looks so different there to what he does now. He looks a helluva lot younger there. The whole band have changed so much since then. I mean they're still amazing but its like hard to believe that this was them like 6 years ago...
Dan (The guitarist before Todd) had some arguments with Rise Against. That's the reason why 'The The Core' was written. Tim was so angry about it. That he was typing things what weren't even true. So far as I know, is that Brandon has written in The Unraveling. But the songs on Transistor Revolt were written by Toni. But I'm not sure about that.
My favorite guitarist was chris, but Todd is so bad ass. He's like Zach with his energy but he plays as clean as chris does. I wish I could of been there!!!
He liked TKT more, that's true. But he left Rise Against because RA wouldn't become succesfull. Although I'm not 100% sure about that, because there was never somewhere really where it's clear. But it's sad that TKT stopped long ago, they made amazing music.
Alright what I understood from reading a couple of the responses was that Tim wrote "To the Core" because he was tired of people assuming things about why Precision left the band. Plus the statement about "his hair being too long".
Damn 2003, when i just started listening to Rise Against.. good times.. Don't get me wrong i still think they are a good band, but back then, when almost no one knew them, these concerts were so special. And i don't like their new album xD
i dont quite understand in the first reply why you said 'no, there isnt' coz i thought that was replying to me saying they had released about 4 songs, coz i know they have released voice of dissent, death blossoms, grammatizator n i dno wt else but every1 is alowed their own opinion, most of the people who liked rise agaist for their older stuf think that they have changed alot and i think their new stuf is nowhere near as good as the old stuff, i dont mind it, but RPM and the unraveling is best
No Dan left because he wanted to keep the style they had the same. RPM is more hardcore then the Unraveling. He wanted to stay strictly punk, while the rest of the group wanted to switch it up.
well... i hate when all the fucking awesome groups, do a ''different'' music while they are ''growing'', because all my favorite groups always change their music to a ''softer'' music... Even if rise against changes i still love em, that's the way i have tattoed the heart and the handle of rise against in my arm :)
generation-lost(.)com/forum/viewtopic(.)php?f=32&t=1074 You have to scroll a bit, and it's after: "Here's why Dan Wleklinski (Mr. Dan Precision) left Rise Against. This was on the old Rise Against message board. It's what the song To the Core was written about:"
I dont know i heard of them when tim was doing the side project The Killing Tree so everything is soft compared to that, but overall no they havent gone soft its just not the same genre.
Chris has no stage present you could hardly tell if he existed while zach has contributed to music every where he's not to be under estimated when you have seen what he's done. He was the lead guitarist for GWAR a thrash metal band prevously there albums had been doing terriable due to pop punk sound attributed to them and he brought them back to thrash and into the scene. The band called for zach personally they didn't do auditions.
Yeah, Tim was sick of it of what Mr Precision wrote there. Also the line: "You type the words you won't say to my face." Is really related to that. And it isn't true about the long hair fact. I mean, Tim had also long hair. Why would he judge someone about that if he has it by himself too? But the message of what Rise Against wanted to be didn't like Mr Precision.
Would of love to have seen them in a venue like this! Wish they would play the older stuff more still :(
i come back to this vid from time to time because it genuinely a good performance
holy shit seriously like one of the craziest punk concerts ive seen man they kick ass!
Brilliant performance, awesome crowd.

I love rise against its the only band i've seen live that has sounded just as good or even better live!
I've been watching this video pretty frequently since it was first uploaded. if the band stayed like this, I'd probably still be listening to them.
they're still dope man
Revolutions Per Minute was so good. Nothing they've done since really touches that album imo.
wow this is the best live ra video iv seen....just realised its the same place theres videos of alexisonfire playing, looks like an awesome venue
Rise Against is so good live
rise against: the best!!!!!
oh, man love this video so funny at all the crowd running on the stage... favourited this man, thank you for adding so much

I've never heard a bad live performance of this song. Period. That's it. I've never seen him give so much to the performance of one song, as much as this one. It's....amazing, to say the least. Obviously a song dear to him. =)
Fucking awesome! Would have loved to have been there!

this recording is sooo beast
dooooooood.... i reallly hope they do this song tomorrow night!!!!
lol @ this video, look how small the place looks, they're just like so layd back and the guy just like crowd surfs in front of him ahhh, man why did he cut his hair, looked hell good long lol
@mindfreak061
me too!! i'd love to see rise against in a smaller venue!
@WillCrearyRA Haha, i saw your comment like 2 years ago! when the vid had like 4k views or so.
This is some of the best RA footage there is. Makes you feel you're there..
And good vocals!
really freakin good :D
@punkrocker26960 yeah i agree. i don;t know what his vocal abilities are compared to chris' and zach's, but i really liked the guitar work on RPM, lots of backwards power chords and other cool shit like that
Although I do like some of their new stuff, they should often go back to their roots!
♥️
tim looks so different there to what he does now. He looks a helluva lot younger there. The whole band have changed so much since then. I mean they're still amazing but its like hard to believe that this was them like 6 years ago...
I miss the old Rise Against.
@punkrocker26960 And why Todd has left / was kicked out form Rise Against?
Yes I would like the link.
agree
My favorite guitarist was chris, but Todd is so bad ass. He's like Zach with his energy but he plays as clean as chris does. I wish I could of been there!!!
todd and tim r soo cute, i wish todd was still in the band :)
Todd Mohney is such a fantastic punk guitarist, as is Tim
so how many aongs have they released in 2009? theyve gone alot softer and they have changed alot
haha nice mic switch!
He liked TKT more, that's true. But he left Rise Against because RA wouldn't become succesfull. Although I'm not 100% sure about that, because there was never somewhere really where it's clear. But it's sad that TKT stopped long ago, they made amazing music.
you know theres live TKT stuff on youtube now?
I was 10 years old that day... |:
Is Todd still playing guitar with them here?
is there any full footage of this concert ?
Standing by to find out as well
Still standing by
Alright what I understood from reading a couple of the responses was that Tim wrote "To the Core" because he was tired of people assuming things about why Precision left the band. Plus the statement about "his hair being too long".
Why they dont play old stuff anymore?
epic
Damn 2003, when i just started listening to Rise Against.. good times.. Don't get me wrong i still think they are a good band, but back then, when almost no one knew them, these concerts were so special. And i don't like their new album xD
Tim is the better frontman ever! RA rules
lol...at :030,,,how he looks wehen the mic is falling down^^
I was and I said the same thing back then. So it's all relative.
Nice mic recovery... @:34
@OsKoH yep. commenting on this video was the reason i made my youtube account
i dont quite understand in the first reply why you said 'no, there isnt' coz i thought that was replying to me saying they had released about 4 songs, coz i know they have released voice of dissent, death blossoms, grammatizator n i dno wt else but every1 is alowed their own opinion, most of the people who liked rise agaist for their older stuf think that they have changed alot and i think their new stuf is nowhere near as good as the old stuff, i dont mind it, but RPM and the unraveling is best
Just because is low?Ah, open your mind! Punk Rockers love too!Hahahahaha
@YourLocalVillain they used to be so good live, now things have changed
appeal to reason was increadible
but i honestly want another cd like revolutions!!!!
but thats only like 3 or 4 songs, people are right in saying they have gone alot softer
No that isn't true. I have read the mails over what it was about, that Dan left. I can give you the link if you want to read it.
No Dan left because he wanted to keep the style they had the same. RPM is more hardcore then the Unraveling. He wanted to stay strictly punk, while the rest of the group wanted to switch it up.
Snare is a bit lost in the mix.
well... i hate when all the fucking awesome groups, do a ''different'' music while they are ''growing'', because all my favorite groups always change their music to a ''softer'' music... Don't know if you're still active, but I would love to see your opinion now that it's been 14 years
I heard Todd left because he wanted to make music more like the Killing Tree rather than Rise Against. He liked the style of TKT more than RA.

You have to scroll a bit, and it's after: "Here's why Dan Wleklinski (Mr. Dan Precision) left Rise Against. This was on the old Rise Against message board. It's what the song To the Core was written about:"
The site doesn't work anymore?! :(
It seems the less hair the band get as a whole, the less hardcore they become. This set was fucking awesome!
Todd left because he thought Rise Against wouldn't be succesfull.
I dont know i heard of them when tim was doing the side project The Killing Tree so everything is soft compared to that, but overall no they havent gone soft its just not the same genre.
dan precision tops them all. todd = close second

LMFAO!!!! WATCH 1:25 BEHIND TIM... wtf is that kid doing?
He's jumping into the crowd. lmfao is right /snore
This=no suck new=suck!
Damn this song is old! Here is my cover: ruclips.net/video/qo0YVyaV2kA/видео.html
thats messed up man
ya he bugs me
turn up the guitar man
wow i think he sounds better live wich is rare with these new bands using auto tuners for der crappy voices
bardon barnes is awesome noob
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who really doesn't like Zach Blair. I don't even know why, but I can't stand him, especially live.
Boring drummer
Rise Against for life
