The 300lb man standing on Corabi's shoulders was actually Vince. I'm with Corabi, "girls girls girls" is an epically stupid song.

Corabi and Jake E. Lee should team up. I bet they could make some kick ass music.

I think he gave the band a fresh new sound
It's a damn shame it didn't work out even keeping him in the band as a rhythm guitarist and secondary vocalist
We can only guess what transformation that would have created in the evolution in writing and musical direction

I never got Motley Crue. I liked 'Shout At The Devil' but thats really it. The Corabi Crue album might as well have been a different band completely. The self titled album is thier only good album in my opinion. Corabi is a beast as a singer. He deserved better from those guys.

Since I was a kid, I've always thought that the Corabi album should have been released under a different name. I know that it is hard to launch a new band and get it off of the ground..but Motley Crue without Vince wasn't going to work. Vince isnt' a good singer...but he IS the sound of the band. Mick and Vince are the sound of the band. They are fortunate to have John 5 ..because he can essentially mimmick any guitar player...but Tommy played straight rock drums and Nikki played root notes...any 'music' or melody was coming from Mick...and Vince was the voice. So the Corabi project under the Motley name was bound to fail. It was probably their best album. The only Motley albums that I like are Shout and Too Fast for Love...but they abandoned that stripped down rock sound after Shout at the Devil and were never the same. Glossy filler songs are the only thing we have gotten from Motley since Shout.

I saw Corabi play the full '94 self-titled Mötley Crüe album start-to-finish live & he totally nailed it & kept it real. He even did stuff off the 'Quarternary' EP, was a funny & humble dude who would talk to anybody & everybody. Corabi blows away Motley "live", I've seen those fakers, one of the biggest frauds on the touring circuit! I understand why people think it's not true Crüe but it's definitely their most musically accomplished & underrated album with some choice songs, like the ones you mentioned. I rate it behind only 'Too Fast' & 'Shout' as their best. It's a much stronger record than 'Dr.Feelgood', I don't care if that sold way more copies, the title-track was the only decent song on it that's stood the test of time. And I agree 'Wild Side' was the only keeper from the shitty 'Girls, Girls, Girls', but the Elvis cover was fun. 'Saints Of Los Angeles' should've been a Sixx AM album because it is in all but name, and yeah it sucks a big bag of dicks. DJ Ashba is all over that record, hardly any Mick Mars. John5 sucks too haha I don't like Dead Daisies but at least they treat Crab right. Happy New Year Dr. Fukk & stay frosty!

The fact that it was a whole 5 years between firing vince and getting him back just shows that its only about $ and nothing else. Most bands wait at least 10 plus years for a reunion, after shout at the devil motley never made a good record again.

Motley Crue never sounded heavier or had more balls-out tone than they did on the self-titled album with John Corabi on vocals. Still, it was probably best he got out of that band when he did, because the Crue is a whole new level of dysfunction and craziness he wasn't prepared to deal with.

Nikki caved into record company pressure but the “punk rocker” in him doesn’t want to admit he was afraid Crue was going to get dropped from the label if they didn’t get Vince back. They did have a successful arena tour but they would never put out another album that was a massive seller, and he must have been frustrated Brides and SixxAM never made it to the next
level but needed that Motley money to pay off ex wives, drive new sports cars and live out in the country.

I think the writing is on the wall for MC with all the Mick drama and the terrible “Cancelled” EP. I hope John 5 didn’t sign a long term contract. He may want to consider jumping ship now while the noise has died down somewhat

I wish Motley would have put more songs on, "Canceled," it would have made a great, "Suck vs. Suck" video.

Wow, Corabi. A band where the members slam each other on their backs. Never before in Music History. Only with Mötley Crüe.
Interesting about Girls 3x. But yeah, I cannot figure out Corabi singing it. At the same time Nikki was trying to despise the band's hedonistic past, he still wanted to perform those songs.

Here's my thought not about Crue but about Vince Neil's restaurant. I'm a connoisseur when it comes to burgers and steaks. Any burger or any steak, I rate them and cherish the flavor of every bite. Usually, before I get a steak, I try out a burger first if it is on the menu. If the burger is good, there is a high probability that the steak will be good as well the next time I go to that restaurant. Well here's the scenario. I was out in Las Vegas and had a show to go to within about 2 hours. Me and one of my good buddies were at Circus Circus to try out the roller coaster rides there. We were looking around and discovered Vince Neil had a restaurant in there and figured if we get a burger should be able to make it to the show. Let me tell you, if I ever tasted what a steamy pile of fresh dogsh*t is and called it a burger, then this was it. Totally disgusting. Next thing you know, there's this guy looking like a Sumo wrestler, going up to customers tables and would say "good, good, good". That's all he would say. I told my buddy what was going down and told him, whatever you do, don't turn around and look. Stay focused on your food. So what does my buddy do? He has to see the train wreck. Well, my buddies eyes locked onto the Sumo Wrestlers eyes and that was a signal for a tiger on the hunt for a gazelle. He made a bee line from across the room to our table. Sumo guy told Scott "good, good, good?" Scott said, it's alright. Sumo guy responded with "good, good, good?" again. It's Ok. "good, good, good?" . The guy then walked off into the abyss. I didn't see where he went to when he went around the corner. Don't know if he was the cook, the manager or just some random guy off the street? I have no clue? Back to the burger. It is an extreme rarity for me not to finish eating a burger but this was the exception. I do now know what a turd burger taste like now. Tastes like sh*t!

I wish Crue and everyone involved would give credit where it is due. Corabi played on 2 Motley records, 94/ST and his guitar playing on Generation Swine. Mick barely played anything on Swine, majority of it is Crab.

That GENERATION SWINE album, the Vince returns release? Damn that sucked.
I had the 94 self titled, liked it, but the idea of Vince coming back I was excited to hear what they would do.
I didnt care at all for it.
I still put it in once in a while to see if I have changed at all in regards to taste or what not, nope, I dont like it.

When it first I didn’t like it because Vince wasn’t on it, but since it has grown on me. It’s not a bad album but it doesn’t sound like Motley. I agree Generation Swine is worse. New Tattoo was step in the right direction but could of been better.
