One of the most relatable parts for me was when Hitori's first meets Nijika, every now and then she consciously tries to make eye contact for a second before automatically shifting away.
To explain the "Kessoku Band" pun a bit further, "Kessoku" means unity or unite, but "KessokuBand" as a combination is an expression for a zip tie. So it briefly sounds like a meaningful name until you take in the whole thing, at which point it sounds like calling your band "Rubber Band".
I never thought I'd see you watch this, but I'm here for it! This is maybe my favorite anime, hope you enjoy it.

I have recently visited many of the locations used in this show..even sitting on the swing Hitori is sitting on when Nijika first finds her...The characters may not be real..but the locations are!...The swing is an hours walk from STARRY (real life name SHELTER)
I just started re-watching Bocchi and found your channel, so I figured I'd re-watch it alongside your videos. I see you've finished the series by now, and by how you liked this first episode I'm going to assume you enjoyed the entire thing, since it only gets better.
I'm not a fan of dark anime, as I find they tend to put me in a bad mind-space, so I usually gravitate to lighter shows like Bocchi. That being said, I hope you watch more light-hearted & fun shows like this in the future (I see you're currently watching Spy x Family, I guess I'll have to re-watch that one too now!)
Bocchi, Kaguya-Sama Love is War, and My Dress up Darling are my three favorites and all surprised me how excellent they were in different ways. Look forward to following along as you go!
This anime hit me hard too, especially because Bocchi reminds me of me in high school haha
so I been a fan of Bleach for almost 20 years now and even in the season where the anime for Bleach finally returned AND chainsawman anime aired Bocchi ended up being my favorite show that entire season.
30k isn't impressive normally, but we are talking about Japanese RUclips so it's a lot better compared to massive pool of Eng speakers.

Bocchi the Rock is one of my favourites and I am definitely in favor of taking a break from the dark and horror stuff here and there.
I agree, as much as I love dark shows, personally I need some contrast in form of light-hearted shows as well. Might be coming back to the Patreon after this. Do you know about Kaguya-sama Love is War? It's a blast.
It's just an idea, but it would be nice if each anime you watch is a different genre. Like a dark one, a comedy one, a romance one, an action one, a fantasy one, and back to a dark one to start the list again.
