i am just gonna put it here, ekko is THE one who found the tree, he might not be getting the screen time everybody has initially but he is as much as a main character like everybody else
silco is not manipulating her. well, i mean, he kinda is, but he's not realising that. he has no idea how vi left jinx, he literally thought she was dead. so from his perspective, she literally abandoned jinx and now shows up with the enforcer. ofc he would think she came back for the crystal as well as jinx, he has no idea about the nuances. it all started when silco genuinely empathised with her, because she saw himself in her: he was betrayed and abandoned like this by vander and he couldn't see someone else suffering like this. he is not a good dad, ofc, but he's not just some "manipulative jerk". he loves jinx, he cares about her, even though what they have is kinda toxic.

@@justinehercthehumanI assume Markus was planning to us Vi against Silco but as we see, he lacks the resolve to do anything. Maybe if he didn’t have a daughter, he could’ve had that resolve.

I always assumed that Silco tasked Markus to have Vi killed and Markus just spared Vi by putting her in prison.
