I don't even like the Forum but they are clearly the best looking, more durable construction and better quality materials just by looking at them. Adidas is on a whole other level.

Just picked up a pair of Forum '84 highs, and they're significantly better than ANY Dunk that I've bought in the last year, including both my Lot 5's and my Fragment Highs. I don't do lows at all, so I'm patiently waiting for New Balance to release a 550 in a high before I get a pair, as I highly suspect that they're significantly better than Dunks as well.
The dunks look so cool, I love my pair and I know they're gonna last forever but I'd be lying if I said they're not a punishment on the feet. The new balance break in quicker and are pretty comfy when they do, plus that 80s style is so rad. I still haven't tried the forums, maybe I will after watching this!
The 550 will become more and more comfortable over time. Thats because of the fiberboard between the midsole and the upper. Like with boots the bord is memorizing your footprint

Dope comparison. I find that the "retro" dunks released this year run TTS. Unlike the "SP" (Iowa and Michigan highs) from 2020. The SP versions definitely run big and I had to go a half size down. The forum lows with the premium materials seem to run big as well versus the GR forum lows you'd see sitting at a foot store. The GR forums are TTS. The 550s run a bit big as well. Half size down and they are snug, but like you said if you tie them it decreases the likelihood of heel slippage.
I'm rocking forum 84s high, I love my pair, they have something almost magical, i don't know how to describe it but for some reason I think that they are special, i see dunks and AJ1s all the time. But adidas have some of the bad ass silhouettes. You have Attitudes, Conductors and Rivalries! All of them are super dope.

I love the adidas forum much more. The Nike Dunks looks a bit plain, basically and looks too similar to other models from Nike. The New Balance 550s are bit bulky in the toe area so it kinda ruins it for me. The Adidas Forum is more slick with the design and branding.
Forum 84/NB550 lovers might also like Reebok Club C 85 Vintage, hope to catch a discount while I wait before I can justify spending retail on another pair of shoes. The ones in Chalk / Weathered Beige F22-R / Alabaster are my favorites, but the similar ones with blue remind me of blue thread or UNC Forums and look really nice as well.

I wear the forums as my daily because my feet aren’t the right shape for the 550s they’re too narrow towards the middle and you still get heel slippage. Plus it’s harder to heel toe while driving the larger the shoes get.
Unfortunately it depends what year dunks you compare to. 2021 and on the dunks are terrible and I’d put them in last. 2020 or before it’s more of a fair fight. I have all these in high tops - 2020 dunks, ALD 650 and Forum 84 High - all great quality and all comfortable and look great.

Only dunks i ever bought were the De La Soul highs. the leather quality was so bad my feet hurt with the fold of the leather. Way happier with the Forum 84s, got the orbit grey highs! lookin to get a pair of 550s someday
Dunks leather quality is absolute shit but the platform is super comfortable for gym especially. And nose of the dunks is lifted so you won’t be tripping while walking

Nike has probably got the worst quality for sneakers when compared to other brands, sure they have really good running shoes, but that’s about it. I’ve definitely noticed that adidas no matter the type of shoe will have a quality build and comfort, but Nike skimps out on that and only goes for build look, and ability to garner hype. Idk about you, but in my daily life as a university student, I’m not tryna walk on literally bricks all day to ‘look good’ I rather look good and have comfort than having looks and hype.

Best to get sizing right is to try out the shoes. I was in JD yesterday and tried out my TTS size and 0.5 size down side by side visual the size difference is not that obvious. The feel inside for me given a wide foot is that both felt fine but the TTS felt a tad better i walked them in shop. I tied the laces tight enough to avoid the heel slip. I told the sales rep i need a few hours to think clear what size i want and get back after lunch. Watched some videos about sizing again. Then in the end I decided for TTS. I went home knowing i made the right decision because i wore them again and somehow evening feet are more relaxed and fit best compared to morning feet. I know its weird but im glad i didn't make an impulse purchase. Unfortunately not everyone can fit shoes before they buy them.

The Forum '84 wins, hands down. The Forum 84 and Reebok Club C 85 and Revenge are some of the most legit reissues ever put out.
I actually have all of them and think that the NB 550 is the most comfortable. The forums look the best and the dunks are the simplest to style.

550s is just much a heavier shoe and that affects comfort as it may feel you are carrying out a heavier and bulkier shoe
