This is giving me flashbacks to 2016 when I went to a pond and rescued a bunch of “fish” that ducks were eating, they ended up being white lipped tree frog tadpoles which at the time were not legal pets. So I broke the law but hey, I got into fishkeeping and frogkeeping so it’s a win-lose
sometimes breaking law is important /jk
@@lorelaimorace-kk1xz hah, true
@@lorelaimorace-kk1xz ? that's unironically true

The frogs are absolute icons 💚🐸
Tadpoles tend to vary in size and growth rate from individual to individual, one tadpole can be half the size of its sibling which hatched from the same spawn and vice versa! The bigger tadpoles are also known for eating their smaller siblings occasionally, but it seems like your ones played nice!
Tadpoles of the same age and species naturally grow at different rates. My three Texas green frogs are all from the same clutch of eggs, but one has nearly morphed, one is just sprouting legs, and one still just looks like a tadpole! It’s believed that they mature at different times due to a combination of genetics and competition with their siblings for food.
I love how amphibians tend to start out as straight up fish. Such fascinating creatures.
a bunch of people that were kinda familyish to me used to cross the boarder from BC to washington to stay in a really cool trailer community together during summers at a lake.. lake samish and it has blooms of tadpoles every year so one year my friends decided to take a 2 gallon bucket of them home and released them in their condos water feature, that was almost 2 decades ago and they now return every year to reproduce
I love frogs lol, I wish I could get one but I don’t have the space, but I am currently raising a moth pupa, and it’s gonna emerge into a full moth soon!
They developed perfectly and they probably were the same age it happens often i have been raising wild frogs in my area for years and they always develop at different times and most will have bent tails and a few deaths as they can be cannibals or just naturally pass but you did everything perfect
Finally i get to notice a pet video of yours again =) cute frogs!
And I wanted to add - your absolutely great! I never felt negativity in your videos(just saw old struggle-videos now) - felt more like the opposite to me always, cause u are so real, not acting, and doing good stuff, educating and treating animals well. You are one of the "content creators" , one human, who absolutely deserves every success imo, or rather everything you wish!
Still understand you, cause creating those videos exposed you to much more negativity then us watching your videos.
Hope everything continues well for you! and hope you make only videos which are good for u! or none, or whatever :)
And i hope you read it and my comment can give u a smile! Your channel was what i watched so often, or watch now, when there is someone needed to revive my faith in humanity :) :)
Love those dear little frogs xx
Look at all those smol beans. So cute!
Tadpoles are so silly looking but I love them
This was a very interesting video. I remember catching tadpoles and watching them turn into frogs.
Thanks for sharing!
Bigger tadpoles release hormones into the water that impair their siblings growth. Once the big froglets move into a different tank and with a few water changes the smaller ones that don't have legs yet will start growing. Hope this was helpful :)
The arms don’t grow out like the back legs, they stay under the skin and then just pop out when they are ready.
I love raising tadpoles, out of 40 over 30 survied and have been watching them come out of the water and become froglets by the day. Been releasing them as they are wild. Green tree frog, Australian. I ive in Australia and these frogs are a unthreatened but a protected tree-dwelling species of frog.
I have a water feature and some of the tadpoles are at different stages and they are in separated water features so they have different ages and I just noticed them there a little while ago Humboldt county tree frogs
Yayyyy! Been waiting for a video like this! Been missing the pet videos! Love it!
I was just arching abt frogs how did you read my mind
10:20 looked like Xenomorph
I remember having the tadpoles and they did much better when I allowed the water to become dark
Once i went on a hike next to a swamp or something, it had just rained a lot so some water spilled out onto the path and i got to see some frogs.
They are so cute!!!
What is that pink stuff they are eating?
Thanks, very cute. What is the pump/filter that you are using?
moshi monsters is back. the prophecy must be fulfilled
What do you feed your tadpoles?
My froglets are dying 😩 any tips? They don't seem to want to jump on the rocks and 6 have died over the last few days. They have their legs but they still have long tails
Have you ever heard of a teddy tank if not dont look it up its fish abuse

Just looked it up. It’s awful.
