    I love these Ford promo videos, car ads today are dull by comparison. I wish it was Grand Pa who had the XR2i😂😂 My favourite Ford promo was the Ford Granada featuring Jackie Stewart and Frank Bough on their separate journeys to meet up at St. Andrew's golf course.

    Thankyou, great video. Some wealthy people back in the 70s & 80s stuck to top of the range fords. Our retired doctor lived in a Very large Hall, but had Granada ghia’s & cortina / Sierra ghia estates and his wife had capri’s followed by XR3s followed by an Orion 1600E, BMWs & Mercedes were not the norm, like they are now.

    • @badbooks476
      @badbooks476 3 года назад

      @ArmourTechnic you are correct, targeting the older generation, less set in their ways, and used to Ghia luxury, or simply giving the younger generations more choice, and of course at that time BMW & Mercedes were bullet proof high quality cars

      Well, my dad also had an Orion 1.6 Ghia when I was a little boy, and after we've crashed it, it kept on going like if nothing happened, which is a proof of its reliability and build quality, isn't it?
      And if we compare it to a BMW or Mercedes of its time, it can be seen as a cheaper alternative to an 80s 3-series or C-class, doesn't it?

The kid who gets in the car, and leaves the door wide open while he puts his seatbelt on. The clueless older couple who park on the fairway of the golf course and who load their golfbags with the clubs at the bottom of the incline in the trunk so the club heads have undue strain put on them.... :-) Hilariously awful.
