Annie Sloan has a very nice paint and order blocking products. Our favorites are boss odor blocker, orange grove wax, and Silk paint.
We wash everything with hot soapy vinegar water to clean it and then use the products that are best for the project. The paints touch up beautifully, cover beautifully, and wear great.
I have done a few pieces including a bedroom set for our daughter and everything has turned out fabulous.

Hope you get well soon. I had a hiatal hernia. So I had abdominal surgery about 7 years ago. I think it was the worse surgery I've ever had. Now I to am watching videos because I'm recovering from foot surgery.

Hello Lynn! I wanted to share a little tip! I use toilet bowl cleaner in my tub/shower. Works SO GREAT! My favorite is SnoBowl but also like Lysol with Bleach. We live in the country in Indiana and have well water loaded with iron. Hope this helps if you try it ❤
I had a horrible ant problem for months and months at my house and it seemed like every week we found them in different places in our home. We ordered Amdro ant block/ant killer and that same day I kid you not... we stopped see them. Like everywhere!
Also for your bathroom please get some Zep grout cleaner and brightener. Works wonders no need to scrub hard at all.

Baking soda with water into a paste will kick the crap out of a dirty oven. Put it inside, let it sit for a few hours with the door cracked. If you have a stubborn spot of dirt, put the same mixture down and put plastic wrap on top. It will keep the product activated longer. 🙌
I had to do the same thing with my dishes when my kitchen was under construction...lol. you have to do what you have to do !!

Try a little sugar, borax and water, make a paste, put in small disposable container, size of a bottle cap, leave, when it’s full of ants leave til all the ants are gone. This works for regular ants in PA, I’ve found great success with this, good luck.😊

Hey if you cut up some onions in a bowl of water like half them and leave em where you have painted it helps absorb the smell, maybe this could help.

I think Jamie from Jamie's journey has the same window cleaner and I'm pretty positive that I've seen her use it in her shower as well on the shower doors so therefore I think you can scrub your windows even if you wanted to use Dawn power wash and a scrub brush and then use the squeegee thing it will suck the suds and everything and dry at once. I really want to get one of those long ones though because my back kills me when I clean my shower.

I am not sure about Florida, but in Minnesota we treat our lawn and no more ants in the house.
I had ants recently. They were going after my cat’s food. I had a pest control company come in and he said that depending on the life cycle of the ants they will seek out certain foods. Sometimes sugar other times protein. He put down a gel to attract them that had protein in it- and whatever substance to kill the ants and now my ants are gone. So depending on what your ants are going after may help determine what to use to get rid of them.
I probably would put the dishes in a dish pail instead of directly in the tub

I don't think it's silly to feel good about your trash can being clean. I feel the same way. I went out with the bottle of mr. Clean of my hand today to clean mine and it started raining. Typical of Florida.
Baking soda is not good for pouring down the sink does a great job cleaning but plumbers warn us not to put down the sink. You don’t want it blocked 🚫 ok

Hi Lynn, Now I know I’m not crazy. I thought I was the only person that washes out their garbage pail. I just did mine this morning before I even watched your video. My neighbors were passing by looking at me like what the heck is she doing but I just couldn’t take it. Last week I forgot to put out the trash so it’s been stinky for 2 weeks. I felt so much better when it was done. 😊 It’s the little things that keep us calm and comfortable. You go girl. You are doing an awesome job. ❤

I know what you're talking about... I recently had tobreplace one that was broken and boy, does it make a difference! The former owners didn't take care of it and it always smelled really bad, like something died in there a while ago. Now it is clean and call me crazy, it is a pleasure to use!
A bowl with charcoal briquettes sat in a room overnight will soak up all the odors and off gases from everything emitting an odor. Works fabulously. Your home is coming together so beautifully ❤

Ugh, I have the same problem with our dining table... luckily we have a good size table in the kitchen, but still the official dining table is always a mess. I hate the look of it, but everyone dumps their stuff on it, including me...
I LOVE cleaning everything with baking soda and water. Sometimes I add a little dish soap or lemon essential oil. No need for any toxic cleaners!

Hey Lynn I have a little hack with the ants you put orange peels in a mason jar with vinegar for two weeks and then put it in a and spray all your windows your door and it actually works cuz I live on a farm Colorado
I have that spin scrubber with the telescoping handle, also from Amazon, and I love it! My back and knees can't handle kneeling on the floor to scrub the bathtub anymore, and this gadget has really helped me out with that task. I have also used the different brush heads for knocking dust off my baseboards and the return air vent on my central AC.
I loathe doing dishes in the tub!! I had to do this for a couple of weeks when we remodeled our kitchen. Great motivation Lynn!!
When you do your dishes in tub don’t twist set on your knees and that will save your back❤️

I keep a jar of baking soda at my sink. I use it for glassware and to clean my coffee pot.
Please invest in a water softener. You won’t be sorry.

Dawn dishwasher liquid. When we had ants, I found their entering spot, put some down Dawn and spread it along that area with my finger. No more issues.

I read that you can mix borax and sugar put it in a dish and the ants bring it back to the nest and it kills the colony. I m in the process of it now and have seen a decrease in the ants in just 3 days. I think it takes a week or two and yes baking soda and dish detergent is the best! I use it on my tubs .

Just a thought for you - Baking soda clogged up my kitchen pipes and caused a big mess, the person who fixed it told me that he is getting regular work from people using baking soda and Bi Carb to clean sinks and drains....it may be different where you live....sending lots of best wishes for you always...
Have always washed my trash cans big and small . Never understand people that don't use trash bags...I just can't do that!

Hey, 10days isn’t bad. We were doing a major renovation and I used the tub for 5-6 months. Of course, we also had a ref and a micro wave in the living room. It was terrible, I was sooooo over it
That spin brush to me DIDNT work! I got a scrubber brush with a broom stick and it works great for me! Or a regular broom 🧹 I got at the dollar store 😁😁
Terro liquid ant bait on a little piece of cardboard works GREAT!
The only stuff I have used that worked is Terro clear gel, it's orange on box and I got it from Lowe's.
Lynne bugs don’t like citrus 🍊 cleaning scents. I’ve been using lemon 🍋 and don’t have any plus keep fruits in the fridge apart from bananas 🍌. That helps with fruit flies 🪰. I cleaned a ladies house and she had fruit on the counter tops and so many bugs and spiders. I only went to her house once took four hours to clean and it was going to be the same again because she and her husband didn’t clean up properly. I’m no one’s slave. Big houses need a lot of looking after not once a week like hers.

I had to use my bathtub for about 6 months back in the day when we totally remodeled our kitchen. You do what you got to do. Ain't no shame in it.

We sat around our table as a family when we were all at home. Our home was not filled with love or positivity unfortunately. My husband grew up the same way 😢 But, we sat around the table as a family when our kids were home and I made 100percent sure my kids felt the love, that we cared about their day, and we were filled with positivity.

If I could ask for prayers for my dad, I would greatly appreciate it. He has been diagnosed with non small cell carcinoma in his lungs. It has been let go for far too long. I cannot believe five years ago we lost our youngest sister to cancer and here we are again
