Abandoned? It looks like my lounge after the cats had a mad half hour in it 😂 seriously though, a fantastic spooky feel to this brilliant diorama 👍🙂

It's not just an amazing diorama but also the way you film it at the end with the special light and fog effects. It is mind blowing to see that you seem to never run out of ideas as well. Very impressive work, thank you for sharing all of it.

Your miniature work is really top notch. Your craftmanship, the hyper realistic look and the cinematic ambiance.

Having one of those finished miniatures would be great. But you would want to set up some good lighting on it to really show it off they way it was meant to be seen! Another great one! Thanks!

For sure! I’ve set up some small lights to shine through the windows of past dioramas and it gives them so much more life

It looks awesome. I Recommend you to first capture the place and furniture before "aging" and then another shot with the place turned apart, old and creepy. That's just an idea.

Man, that 2001 shot is SMOKING HOT! I also really love your couch tearing technique, it's so cool and very effective. Your final shots as always are amazing, the shafts of light through the windows is incredible. Nice work, N.

Another awesome piece! In A Pattern Language (an amazing book about town and building construction) there’s information about having only one window in a room. The architect authors talk about how trapped and depressed people can feel. Reinforces your instinct to have just one window. So eerie!

@DreamingCatStudio, A Pattern Language is a great book, stuffed full of architectural design info from room level to house to town.

Your work is always so inspiring for me. Lighting has always been one of my first considerations too when it comes to building my miniatures. Dramatic and cinematic lighting goes a long way in bring a miniature to life and your work perfectly captures that!

Just watching the backwards camera move at the end with everything staying in focus....impressed. I shot a short film noir around 2013. There were times I decided to use a simple Canon Elph 310 pocket camera because of it's fairly deep focus, while simply placing a small towel under it and running it over a desk. I also used it in a fight scene, because of how well it found focus while flying around a couple guys going at it at night. The main camera back then was a Canon 5D Mark II, but no one has ever noticed the switching between cameras. For night time alley shots I found it simple to shot a plate of the alley, then have an actor walk through it while filming. I could layer the plate over about 80 percent of the areas, especially just above black that would show digital noise. A very simple and completely effective solution. And all layering and effects work was done in Photoshop's CS4 animation timeline. I guess I'll paste a link. ruclips.net/video/CwQ84VaeJ-s/видео.html
