      They are one of my favorite brands because they seem to have avoided the trends over the years of adopting really bizarre geometries.
      Even though they did drop the seatstays a little bit, it is still pretty tame compared to other brands, and is about as close to a traditional double diamond as we are realistically going to get nowadays.
      Same with the relatively horizontal top tube. They bucked the trend that was sadly way too popular in the mid 2000's of having extreme sloping top tubes. Gosh, I despised that trend with a passion. It looks like a childrens bike with those extreme top tube slopes. You still see vestiges of that trend a bit nowadays, but its less than it once was. I am glad Pinarello kept the traditionsl design, albeit they added a tiny bit of flair to it by giving the top tubes a little bit of "swoop" which I think is the best of both worlds (it keeps traditional horizontal top tube design, but makes it look a little more modern and curvy).

      While I do exercise using both a mountain bike and a road bike, to me, road biking gives a very unique sensation, the posture, the style, the way it rides and drives, pure emotions.

Now, of course, Pinarello stops making the Prince and moves off the F-12 like frame. It is a bit of a shame but the new version, using the F type frame using T-900 carbon, the F7 has DI2 with carbon wheels seems like a great bike too. However, I am staying with the Prince. . I'm glad I recently bought a Prince 2022 (size 58 BoB - 105Di2 - FFWD Tyro 2 wheels). I prefer the old geometry of the Prince. The new F5 geo, the same as Dogma F, is too aggressive for me. The X geometry is too endurance. I like my bikes without a lot of spacers (2cm max - rather 1cm). If you ride a Dogma with +3cm spacers, you bought the wrong bike. Great review by the way ;-)

    I don’t normally complain about weight because it often feels like an “Oh I hate these heavy bikes nowadays” comment, but I have to say that this one is a lot considering that the Scott Foil that you had on the channel after this was about the same weight but over 3000 less and also a full aero bike

    • @alexjohnson6462
      @alexjohnson6462 2 года назад

      The $4300 Scott Foil he featured previously only had Ultegra mechanical, whereas this model has electronic shifting which typically adds $1500 to the pricetag.
      Even if they added DI2 to the Foil, that would still be $1000 less than this Prince model (abd the Foil is still lighter as you pointed out), but that would put the price close enough between the two that I guess people might decide whether they like the Pinarello $1k more. That might come down to colorway options, or even just the design of the frame. Reputation could be a factor too, but Scott makes a top notch bike too so that might be a wash between thd two.

    Will be Prince good as an endurance bike?

    Sure I like a light weight bike too….but IF you have ever ridden some of these high end bikes, then you might find (subjective) that WEIGHT does not equal ride quality or performance. This is NOT a climbing bike but a total performance bike. PLEASE RIDE A BIKE BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE IT…which I know is impossible for most people who watch RUclips because (1) there is a bike shortage and (b) most bike shops only carry one or two brands and its typically only the big 3.

      I agree 1000 percent, these bikes now are hevaier then past bikes but the newer tech and the research behind them makes them fell that much faster and so much easier to maintain speed.... iot is a way more efficient bike then previous models and they perform perfect

    It's not a tier below an F or F12 what are you on about. It's lower tier than an F8. 54.5cm at 8.5kg ain't it don't care how curvy it is.

      lmao, well since they do not make f8 or f10 anymore for sale it is under that, this is what new consumers have to buy and what to compare it too

    I blow by clowns that pay triple for a bike like this on a daily basis…. Your channel is getting old

    • @GCPerformance18
      @GCPerformance18  2 года назад +8

      Yea and I know tons of people who have these bikes thag can blow by you on a daily basis. Someone is always faster then you. And because someone has the income to buy a nice bike that makes them a clown.
      That’s the one downfall about this sport. Is that all you need is time on a bike and everyone can claim there fast, so people like you run there mouth because they have free time to ride.

      Bro why are you so salty about it. Sports are better when more people are involved. If dropping this much on this sick looking bike gets people riding then be all for it. No one likes a keyboard warrior
