this is my first time seeing pinarellos most brand being used for in house carbon wheels. let me know if you have seen it before!!!
Very nice bike very good video. You are goat 🐐 🔥
@Radek why?
@Radek hell no it’s not the future. The pros are barly riding clincher or tubeless tires still. No way they are running hookless. An 80psi max tire will never be a competitive wheel
Pinarellos are simply beautiful bikes.
agreed
They’re not my cup of tea but I can see why a lot of people would like them
They are one of my favorite brands because they seem to have avoided the trends over the years of adopting really bizarre geometries.
Even though they did drop the seatstays a little bit, it is still pretty tame compared to other brands, and is about as close to a traditional double diamond as we are realistically going to get nowadays.
Same with the relatively horizontal top tube. They bucked the trend that was sadly way too popular in the mid 2000's of having extreme sloping top tubes. Gosh, I despised that trend with a passion. It looks like a childrens bike with those extreme top tube slopes. You still see vestiges of that trend a bit nowadays, but its less than it once was. I am glad Pinarello kept the traditionsl design, albeit they added a tiny bit of flair to it by giving the top tubes a little bit of "swoop" which I think is the best of both worlds (it keeps traditional horizontal top tube design, but makes it look a little more modern and curvy).
I've literally never even tried a road bike and have done mtb my whole life, video by video you make me consider wanting a road bike. They're starting to look good to me ahaha.
Younger me at early 90's to 2000 from Bmx (flatland, halfpipe, street, dirt track, downhill) to MTB. Now I ride road bike & folding bike.
If someone say this bike is better than other type of bike, they are so close minded & childish.
You gotta own and try them all 😁👍🏻
:)) it is fun and not only a good time but it directly helps with your mountain biking with cardio ;)
😂😂😂 Dylan, I am on the same boat...the difference is that my friends already convinced me to buy a road bike. I am between this one, the BMC Teammachine SLR 01 Five or the Specialized Tarmac SL7 Expert....
It took me a couple of years to convince a friend to buy a road bike, the first day he rode it he called to say that he can't believe how much he has been missing.
While I do exercise using both a mountain bike and a road bike, to me, road biking gives a very unique sensation, the posture, the style, the way it rides and drives, pure emotions.
I've had the Paris for about 7 months now. Excellent endurance bike. My next purchase in future is probably going to be the Prince. Excellent craftsman. The bike rides as good as it looks in my home on display 😊
at that price range, i still do expect a full carbon stem/handlebar
Specialized is selling their new Experts for $8300 with no carbon handlebar as well. This bike is a steal.
@@drchris103 Look up SCOTT ADDICT RC 15 BIKE
$6800 for carbon everything
@@jochang9012 Pinarello is definitely the better bike.
@@drchris103 Brand prestige yes, quality components configuration no.
Carbon replacement any day.
pinarello just has the name so thats why I would assume the non carbon bar
I have had the Prince for 14 months now. I have to say, it is the best riding bike in terms of handling, aero and yes, comfort that I have ever ridden or test ridden. Now, of course, Pinarello stops making the Prince and moves off the F-12 like frame. It is a bit of a shame but the new version, using the F type frame using T-900 carbon, the F7 has DI2 with carbon wheels seems like a great bike too. However, I am staying with the Prince. . That mat royal blue too.
Bro GCN's going to be out of business soon they can't keep up with the same amount of bike reviews as you 😂 keep em coming!!
Lmaooo thank you so much!! It means alot and I just hope it helps someone who is looking to purchase one in the future
@@GCPerformance18 you got me to buy a Tarmac already 😂 after your last video I am keeping my order for the doggyf and cancel the scott addict
@@hayabusa27 Why would you cancel the Scott Addict?
i keep coming back to this vid. watched it 28 times 😂. great video. keep em coming!
hahahhah I got you man, videos will be pumping out more soon just been nusy at my store
That bike is hot to the touch!
Great video as always. They make the Prince FX yhat sit between the Prince and Dogma. It uses T900 carbon
I dont see the prince fx this year in there lineup
You are correct, however, the Prince FX is not available in the USA. I guess they weren't selling that well.
I just got the blue 21 pinarello prince from my local shop. I wanted the 2022 model at the time but they said the 2022 model would be arriving later on this year. I just customized my bike with some zipp 303s and it came out looking good 👍🏾
Beautiful Pinarrello and frame colour,I think this is one of your best bike reviews, I liked all the close up shots of the bike components and so on.Safe riding💯👌😴.P.S Cool Aligator video,Florida is full of them.
thanks so much I had fun making the alligator video, my wife scarred me but I felt like it was a relaxing video
Pinarello is my bike dream, it's bike really like the design
yea it is super nice design
I had a 2010 Pinarello Prince pre-dogma... I loved it.
A great looking bike and I enjoyed the walk round. I’m thinking that the Prince FX might be might next choice of bike! If I take the plunge I will do a review of it on my channel!
I have the 2021 Prince. Ultegra Di2 with Cadex 65mm tubless. The frame still looks the same as the 2021. That color ain't working. I have the Blue Steel. The bike is a great performer! I have no complaints.
damn I am sure that looks mean with the 65mm I am a sucker for those
I had the blue steel but this color just looks so much better. especially with the two tone
I got a '21 (Red colorway) with the ENVE Foundation 65 wheelset, phenomenal bike! I do need to cut the "chimney" though 😀
thats awesome that red color is super hawt, nice bike!!!
Cut it asap its dangerous the expander from most is short it allows 5mm chimney tops
Beautiful beautiful bike and not a bad price it all
My full carbon track bike weighs around 18.4lbs but it still feels ridiculously light, so this doesn't seem that bad.
What a beauty. What a beauty! Too bad not available in my country.
damn I am sorry
This one looks nice. Always look forward to your videos.
thanks so much :) that makes me happy to hear these type of comments
I'm glad I recently bought a Prince 2022 (size 58 BoB - 105Di2 - FFWD Tyro 2 wheels). I prefer the old geometry of the Prince. The new F5 geo, the same as Dogma F, is too aggressive for me. The X geometry is too endurance. I like my bikes without a lot of spacers (2cm max - rather 1cm). If you ride a Dogma with +3cm spacers, you bought the wrong bike. Great review by the way ;-)
Hy it must be awesome whith this wheels
Btw in size 58 and carbon wheels how much lbs now? Thx
Other improvements to make?
Bye
@@vivesfra Complete with pedals and bottle cages, 8,6kg should be 18.9 LB
Once you put pedals and cages on it it will be 19lb. The STEEL bike I raced 1992 weighed 18.5lb. Pinarello buys the bike, group, etc for about $1200 and sells it for $6000.
yea this model was a bit chunky
This bike looks AMAZING, but for less money (almost 2000 dollars) you can get a similar bike and lighter (over 1 lb lighter) like the Trek Emonda SL 7. That been said, does the extra weight gets compensate with the Pinarello frame design? Thank you so much for your time and again, this Pinarello looks amazing!!!!.
yea pinarellos I have always noticed were always a little heavier I do not know why, but they are built stiff...... but the emodnas are one of the nicest price point bikes out on the market right now
I have several friends that used to ride Trek Emonda or Domane and swithced to Pinarello and they state that this bike is some much better. The Trek may be lighter but it's also slower and doesn't climb well.
I reside in Florida and I got lucky and found the Prince in red 58cm off a bike site in Colorado.
Awesome bike but that UCI decal on the top tube is killing it for me. Hopefully it’s just a sticker.
Wow thats a killer color
Prince or f5 what do you think
F5
Just bought one. Made in TAIWAN stamped on bottom bracket. Nice bike
lmao
I thought all carbon frames come from Taiwan?
7500 budget bike 😭😭 I wish I had that cash
Normally being black and blue is a bad sign, in this case it’s immaculate
magnificent bike
4:33 Thats Pirelli lol. Very respected tire brand.
Of course they are respected but those are there more endurance tires. They are not performance tires
Hello! Love your channel!!! I have been in love with this bike since it first came out in the flash sky. I just test road it in Mallorca and I’m in love. I’m 5’2” and ride a 49cm tarmac. The 46cm Prince felt a little to big and the 44cm Prince a smidge too small.
What size would you suggest?
That is a tough one. I am not to familiar with the Italian sizing of bikes. And also with me not seeing you it is tough. Best I would recommend is find a store that does fits as well as sells this bike. As for a fit for the bike and have the price of the sale go from the bike fit into the sale.
Can you please do a Video comparing the 2022 sl7 pro and the prince, im definitely buying one of these two bike but im having a hard time deciding which one to go after
yea I have one coming in soon I can do a comparison between the too, or maybe the expert to be honest the sl7 because it is similar price point and same components
I want force on any of these frames, any head to head Comparison will do.
Thanks and keep cranking out the great vids!
Any idea why the price increased so much? Frame looks to be the same as MY’21, so was it just changing out the Fulcrum to Most wheels and having the new Ultegra that jumped the price from $5800 to $7500?
lmao I do not know, it is literally that, same frame and same stem and handlebar...... I have seen all new shimano bikes have a bigger price hike but also just mainly covid tax prices to be honest...... they just say cost of buisness and shipping and gas prices
the biggest difference in the price is the 12 speed drivetrain and the wheels. You can get the 12 speed Di2 with the fulcrum wheel for $5800
"Seven thousand five hundred dollar budget bike"
Love the bike but there none available! Would love a white one in a size 49. Any idea then they'll be available? Great reviews by the way!
try giving that shop a call they have nice inventory
Great looking bike!
Is it also considered an endurance bike?
it is not there endurance model but I mean any bike could be considered if it is fit right,
yes, Pinarello positions the Prince as both a race and endurance bike. The PInarello Paris is their Endurance model (and not positioned as race).
I don’t normally complain about weight because it often feels like an “Oh I hate these heavy bikes nowadays” comment, but I have to say that this one is a lot considering that the Scott Foil that you had on the channel after this was about the same weight but over 3000 less and also a full aero bike
The $4300 Scott Foil he featured previously only had Ultegra mechanical, whereas this model has electronic shifting which typically adds $1500 to the pricetag.
Even if they added DI2 to the Foil, that would still be $1000 less than this Prince model (abd the Foil is still lighter as you pointed out), but that would put the price close enough between the two that I guess people might decide whether they like the Pinarello $1k more. That might come down to colorway options, or even just the design of the frame. Reputation could be a factor too, but Scott makes a top notch bike too so that might be a wash between thd two.
yea this bike was for sure very heavy I was so confused why, it might be the weight of those wheels, idk btu pinarellos have always had osme weight to them
Beautiful bike, but my 2020 roubaix with Ultegra di2 and Reynolds assault wheels is just a bit over 17lbs so we can’t just blame it on disc brakes.
different companies have different layups
My dream bike is the Prince. Was $5300
I love this clip+ this bike.
I appreciate u watc hing!!!
Sucker for Pinarellos 👍👍👍
8.3kg for a 54 is shockingggg. A 58 would be over 8.5kg, bikes are going backwards....
Absolutely. With pedals and mounts, you are looking at an almost 9kg bike.
Or you are focused too much on grams instead of why that added weight happened…
@@johnkasza2315 That logic is not suitable. For example run with shoes that weigh 400 grams each and then with shoes that weigh 200. It’s about the weight of the thing you are using. Not about you own overall weight.
@@johnkasza2315 Thats not the point. Yes, its all marginal. Your deeper wheels make less of a difference than shaved legs. Oh and by the way, the extra drag from the disc brakes will counter your deeper wheels...
@@johnkasza2315 Sorry John, but that is all unfortunately marketing that you are under the illusion of. Weight is absolutely critical, particularly when going up hills. A lighter bike is a faster bike, no matter which way you slice it. Applying your logic the Peloton would be on 15kg bikes, because aren't they faster?
海外限定ですかね?このカラー見たことないし、日本国には入ってきてない!
thank you for watching!!!
ok is it as stiff as a dogma and handle capable like it too?
I'm waiting for the MY23 models and color designs for the Prince. Does anyone know when these will be available?
I do not know yet but we have not seen any new colors or bikes for the brands that I carry right now, so I am assuming pinarello is the same right now
@@GCPerformance18 do you know if it is likely that the geometry specs change for the 2023 models?
Question: in Pinarello's white paper of the Prince model I read that the maximum tyre measure for the DISC version is 25. Now, these days 28 or even 30 is more common. Do 28 tyres fit on this model?
yes it does, you can get a away with running a 30mm tire on there
@@GCPerformance18 do you think it would be possible to run 30mm tires on wheels with 21-23mm inner width?
beautiful bike. but I was expecting this bike to be under 18 lbs.
You can build a Madone with Ultegra di2 that weighs a pound less and holds it's value WAY BETTER for that price
yea this is true this video was at hieght of bike price in covid times I think they have come down a little
lol. My 2000$ carbon fibre bike from 2013 weighs less than this 7500$ modern bike and it has aluminum wheels, stem, handlebars, seatpost. Probably much much stiffer too.
And it's a parachute with a harsh ride...
@@kidShibuya nope, it actually has internal cables and aero tubes. Is it *better* than the prince? Of course not when going on a straight line. Is the prince ridiculously heavy for the price? You bet. As for the harsh ride. Material choice has almost unnoticeable effects on quality. It's the frame geometry that makes it harsh and, primarily, the tire pressure and width.
to each there own, if you are happy with your 2k bike and it suits you then for sure this is not needed, but this is what the market is today and this is not a bad price for this bike with this name...... comapared to other companies
@@GCPerformance18 absolutely, in fact if I had the money I'd absolutely go for a bike like this. All I'm saying is that the industry is pretty much a scam these days. Way too expensive bikes (because it's a niche market with people willing to buy) with features that have been getting marginally better or even worse (for instance the weight) over the past like 4 years.
I bought the Prince because I choose not to go with Geico and put the money towards the bike😜
my height is 170 ,which size for me ? thanks
Will be Prince good as an endurance bike?
it is nice but the paris is a little better
@@GCPerformance18 How? Just curious!
Sure I like a light weight bike too….but IF you have ever ridden some of these high end bikes, then you might find (subjective) that WEIGHT does not equal ride quality or performance. This is NOT a climbing bike but a total performance bike. PLEASE RIDE A BIKE BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE IT…which I know is impossible for most people who watch RUclips because (1) there is a bike shortage and (b) most bike shops only carry one or two brands and its typically only the big 3.
I agree 1000 percent, these bikes now are hevaier then past bikes but the newer tech and the research behind them makes them fell that much faster and so much easier to maintain speed.... iot is a way more efficient bike then previous models and they perform perfect
Heavy & expensive.
Hello! Haw can I get this bike ?
And haw can I contact with you?
send me an email gcperformanceyt@gmail.com I will get it for you
I do not like the curvy tubes. Engineers and/or designers got carried away.
but its kind of pinarellos thing to do that, it is what they are known for
looks COLD out like 45 degrees
Shit! 20 lbs with pedals… no thanks
lmfao true it is ahevay pig but sure looks nice
Shave it down spend the money if you like the frame.
That thing is heavy! No thanks.
it is
It's not a tier below an F or F12 what are you on about. It's lower tier than an F8. 54.5cm at 8.5kg ain't it don't care how curvy it is.
lmao, well since they do not make f8 or f10 anymore for sale it is under that, this is what new consumers have to buy and what to compare it too
I must say as an owner of this bike, the saddle is not the most comfortable.
What are your complaints? Is it too soft? Or maybe too wide / narrow?
How can i buy it i live in india
contact the store I listed down below to get in touch
Lolz at calling the tires pinarello too
Lmfaoooo sorry
No!.....It weighs a ton.
I'm riding 5.1 to 6.25 kg bikes.
Still in stock?
yes it is send me an email gcperformanceyt@gmail.com
What a beauty. What a beauty! Too bad not
sorry
7000 for 8.3 😡
I mean........ thats the weights currentyl pinarello is always kind of known to be heavy for there disc break bikes
Still the worlds worst finishing tape.
hahahahha luckily I did nto build any of those pinarellos, I would not finish like that....... when I do finish it is quick
@@GCPerformance18 I bet
Gorgeous………….
Thank you!
왜이렇게 무겁지? 타회사랑 비교가 되네..
I blow by clowns that pay triple for a bike like this on a daily basis…. Your channel is getting old
Yea and I know tons of people who have these bikes thag can blow by you on a daily basis. Someone is always faster then you. And because someone has the income to buy a nice bike that makes them a clown.
That’s the one downfall about this sport. Is that all you need is time on a bike and everyone can claim there fast, so people like you run there mouth because they have free time to ride.
Bro why are you so salty about it. Sports are better when more people are involved. If dropping this much on this sick looking bike gets people riding then be all for it. No one likes a keyboard warrior
Imagine getting salty at someone having a nicer bike than you. LMAOO
You are just a hater of successful riders. You blow clowns is more like it!
