Trying to explain to my 9 and 11 year old how much noisier everything used to be... they don't believe me.

Funniest thing to witness was when the petal and hammer went out of sync/alignment and attempts to print stripped all the petals of of the "Daisy Wheel" and fired them round the office. . expensive.

@@generalzod7959 I don't think that one is as bad as the other two I mentioned. There is a printer that I have found that is EXTREMELY loud and annoying. I have that in a saved folder. Several times a week one scammer or another calls me. I set my phone by the computer speaker & let them have an earful! NO ONE has ever made it 3 minutes of that! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go into the Molecule Chamber while the lights around you turn red.
@@stevenscottoddballz I guess it wasn't the sound of the printer when printing but, it's some kind of shrill buzzer in the unit and it's just really annoying.

Man, that's illuminated script slow (And quiet) compared with a commercial unit which ran at 45CPS.
Some of the early ones produced so much "Chatter" they were installed inside audio suppression cabinets so that people could work in the same office space. But then again, they were probably less noisey than a old fashioned typing pool going at full tilt and only slightly noisier than a golf-ball typewriter @ 15CPS.
