  • This is the 3rd part of the vlog about my visit to Parambikulam Tiger reserve in kerala. In this vlog we got to see lot of wildlife at Night and we were lucky to see a bear from the Tree hut as well. We went for a short hike in the morning where we could witness a lot of bird calls and animal activities.

I had a powerful bright light torch, but it wasn't working, so used another backup torch, and that was sort of ok.

Thanks 🙂 I visited in the
Last week of June. As long as you don't go in heavy rains it should be fine. It was drizzling when we went as well.

🐅🐯👍Thanks @Shreyas.Ranganath for walking us through memory lanes of what Anderson, Corbett et al. may have witnessed decades ago!
I do not know any local languages; Did you get a Kannadiga guide? Or a Malayali?
How wide and deep are elephant trenches? Are there a National Standards regulating them?
Don't leopards also score there talons, and scratch for marking, sharpening, and cleaning to rid of scraps of meat to avoid attracting flies? Were you able to compare and contrast between them with tigers'?
Thanks again and continue your good journeys☺

Thanks ojas. 🙂 we got a Malayali guide who could speak Tamil. My friend knew a little Tamil so we managed. Elephant trenches look around 8 feet wide and 10 feet deep i guess, am not sure of regulations. And right, leopards also do that, but these marks were more wider and prominent, and as per guide it was done by a Tiger, also coupled with lot of claw marks on the trees nearby, it was sort of most likely done by a Tiger.
