1) This whole video was accidentally shot in 48fps🙄 biggest mistake ever
2) Sorry for the small smudge on the lens, didn't notice it until I was at home editing

I always shoot on 48 fps. Are you saying you usually shoot higher fps? 60? Do you shoot 4k? I only shoot 2.7k because the editing programs I use can only save 1080 max res... (Not to mention the extra HD space it takes up). Curious what you normally use? Thanks.
I shoot in 4K always (unless I need a really high frame rate like 120fps) and bounce between 30 and 60fps when shooting at that high resolution

I tried to launch & recover from a moving boat for the first time yesterday. P4P+ is relatively new to me (after years w a P2V+) so I'm brain-fatigued with all the settings, especially re: RTH and avoidance. I tried to turn off all RTH-relevant features for the obvious reason, but failed to realize that when I tried to get my husband to catch the drone, it saw both him and the boat as obstacles to avoid, so it wouldn't come near us. PANIC!! I eventually got it down by "throwing" it at him, getting it just close enough for him to reach out and grab. I'd love to see a tutorial on what features to enable/disable to get through this situation a) on the water and b) on a moving boat. Thanks! PS we base our boat in RI and spend loads of time in BI. I tried to find us in your shots!

Great production Billy, surely among your best work so far. You had it all here, revel shots, low level flying over land and water and some full gimbal down shots. The editing was very effective, and I'm now starting to understand your process of starting with the music first and editing to the changes. My favorite shot was you sitting in the boat as the drone is flying by. Just one question, did you take off from a moving boat?

Great stuff! I have an opportunity to shoot off of a similar boat soon and I am curious how you launched and landed. I am assuming hand launched and caught? Also, any issues with the boats radar/navigation equipment causing interference in any way? Thanks again!!

Hey Billy Kyle. I have a question and 51 drones referred you to me. Exactly what power supply do I need to charge the large crystal sky with both batteries at the same time. I have the Osmo but it is not enough to charge both batteries in the bay. So which phantom or inspire drone charger should I use? And what voltage should it be?

So what was that smudge, just a dirty lens cover? I had the same problem with my P4P when it came back from repairs, turns out the rookies opened the actual lens to clean it and ended up messing it up even more. Cost me a lot of 💵 to fix as I needed a whole new gimbal and 🎥. I was not impressed!

I know I can't be alone in that I don't like slower shutter speeds (was going to comment anyway thinking you shot at 30fps)...
I always shoot at 60fps because I don't like the step-e look you get when flying close to something (and or moving fast), plus I like to see "everything" nice and sharp whether it be close to the camera or further away...
I bought a P4P V2 after getting tired of having to film at 1080P with my P3P just to have 60fps (and I was never happy with ANY of the pictures the P3P took)...
That and the P4 flies Faster so I can keep up with faster boats 😁

It happens. I will say, it luckily blended quite well with the water at times and went unnoticeable.

Awesome footage man! One question, that latent dot about 2/3's down and center, it that a water spot, glare, or something on the sensor? It's barely visible, but just curious?

that is true, I have both but wouldnt sell mavic, it has some advantages to ph4pro also...
I’ve got both and I fly my Mavic as much as my P4P.
I have to admit it is much easier to bring with you, but the P4P's video quality is far superior to the Mavic. The HDR, FPS, color depth, and sensor size are not comparable. However, the price isn't either Lol.
Caleb S. Well I wouldn’t say FAR superior but yes better. When you consider most people watching these videos on RUclips are going to be watching them on a small screen smart device whether it be phone or tablet. The video quality is only going to be as good as the screen on the smart device. I understand wanting to make the best video you can for your own viewing but the vast majority watch videos on a small screen in 1080 P. With good editing the Mavic pro can make a very good video.

I watched some of your videos and others, even went out and bought Final Cut Pro X, just so I could use the Maker feature. Great video, I will keep trying....
Nice video. I invite you to take a look at a “Drone Video Reviews” Facebook group. I know you have your own group but this one is dedicated to creating better drone videos or videos that incorporate drone footage. The premise of the group is that every one gets actual feedback from other members that can help them grow. The best thing about it is that you can upload videos to the group first and avoid that “ups” moment where you failed to notice you’ve messed something up. They’ll find it and you’ll be able to fix it before the actual release.
my 3 cents:
1- very good sync between clips and music
2- however weather did not help you at all so the colors are very much washed out
3- also horizon is not really horizontal on the shots towards sky and sea
4- how about the basics of photography: don't split the screen in half?
I am sure you could do better - you seem very professional.

To ALL DJI customers: DO NOT buy the DJI SELECT , it does not cover any accessories for the Mavic 2 Pro or Zoom. This is a big scam from DJI
I bought from DJI STORE a Mavic 2 hard case, but the 20% discount as a SELECT member was not applied, called customer service and they said these discounts are for everything else but not for the Mavic 2..... What a big scam this is,....
This video is the best example that great gear does not bring great footage. You need knowledge about how to film to achieve good results. This guy here has a great drone, but no ideo on how to use it. The shots at 0:45 and 2.52 are the ONLY good one in this video. The rest is just pure crap.
I mean, who in this world would speed up drone footage?! And wtf happened at 2:06 ?!?
