Woooooooah! This is in the top tier of Rush E covers! I loved the way you used so many techniques specific to the cello. Nice work, really creative! 💪 -Andrew
Hello everyone! I have moved my description up to the top. Yes I did record other cello parts, as I feel that using MIDI is lame when I (a real musician) can just record that stuff myself which just sounds better. I chose only to film the primary part as the other parts weren't too interesting. If you check out my channel I have plenty of videos in which I only film the primary part, but play all the other parts in the background; this is an artistic choice. Currently I am working on Rush E 2 which is both harder and more involved with all the parts, so for that video I will probably do some split screen!
I heard this song for the first time on the piano a few minutes ago and thought it would sound amazing on the cello. Looked for a video and boy you did not disappoint - posted with perfect timing, so much fun to watch and listen to!
As a Cellist myself, I am thoroughly impressed. I see how you layered the different parts, but it all seems well played and well timed. Really happy to see this being played. Oh, and a well done seems necessary too!
I loved your facial expressions throughout this, the aloof one in the beginning and then the anticipation before the second half was cute. It's obvious that you had a lot of fun doing this
Playing the same note but on different strings can completely change tone and all of that musicality stuff, but sometimes we do it because it’s just easier to not do string crossings lol -cello player
As a cellist too I've been very happy seeing more videos especially about popular music (in fact it's not my area, but I'm happy because of the possibility of people getting to know abt more instruments). Your version isn't mediocre! actually is very good. I loved it so much, and you recorded the another backing voices in cello?? That's awesome!!
I learned part of rush e on the piano and I found that difficult. I’m so surprised you managed to do this on a string instrument, round of applause from me
At 0:45, he plays a note and holds it but his bow is somehow off the string. I wanna believe it and if I'm wrong which I hope I am this guy is a MASTER but if I'm right n this is somehow fake I'm sad😢
We can also hear it's "lipsync": several times the glissendo or the fingerings don't match the video. But it doesn't really matter, the video is here for the show I guess
So f'ing underrated you deserve so many more views, likes, and subscribers. As a beginner cellist I can only begin to wrap my head around the skill you have. Props man
This is one of the best cellists I've ever seen. Not only did he play a great version of Rush E on Cello, but he kept control of his facial muscles. Mad respect.
As someone who played cello through middle and high school and desperately misses playing it, this filled me with so many overwhelmingly positive feelings. ❤
Awesome, definitely one of the best Rush E covers I've seen. And you look like you're having fun while doing it, I love to see that in musical performances
I'm a beginner cellist (having played for about 1.5 years), and everything about this was absolutely AMAZING/AWESOME!! 🤩 But, I'd like to especially point out how smooth those accents were 🤌✨️ It's hard to show that added on emotion with clean bowings! 👏
This might be a bit old but i have been a cello player for 12 years currently and i have almost mastered doing this aswell as some other "impossible cello peices" but this is a true mastery of the song Good job man!
This is absolutely amazing. Watching you made me wish to take up cello again. I know those words can sound empty but seeing you perform touched my soul. Thank you.
Amateur violinist here! I'm easily impressed, but DANG that glissando was silky and consistent, every time! I'm only just now getting to where I can slide between notes accurately at speed so this is like black magic to me.
dude you have no idea how long i've been looking for this i hoped that someone would make a cello cover and im so glad i finally found it. as a fellow cello player myself great work!
