Not just a "Fun pattern to tie", but actually a very lethal fly to fish in any stillwater with dragon-flies in it. Deadly along weed-beds and fished normally statically, with quick jerks to mimic dragon-fly nymph propulsion. A staple stillwater fly for trout in South Africa.

Davie you make that look so easy to tie but I know I’d struggle with that one. Quality fly cheers mate

Fished the Pappa Roach for good couple of years locally, popular pattern here, Herman Botes came up with it, can be a game changer along weed beds. Great job Davie, you pretty much nailed it. One point, seems to be more effective without weigh in still waters. Can be really effective in smaller sizes as well. Thanks for the video

Good afternoon Davey. Very nice breakaway from the norm and should catch lots of different species all around the world. Nicely done as always. Thank you.
