the loop on the back plugs in his back and gives him storage for the lance, it was first in the annihiltor mold so he could hold the sword and store the lance
Peaugh, I'm not sure if you know yet, but that extra piece you were wondering about at the end is to hold the lance on his back in robot mode. I'm not 100% on that since I don't own the mold, but that's what I remember it as.
Hi Peaugh, That ring thing you weren't sure about is actually a holster for the lance so you can store it on the knight morpher. I believe it can attach to his back when you don't have the rocket pack on him. Also I believe it can also help combine with the shield (I remember seeing a review of it years ago... don't own this figure, but this is what I can remember from that vid). Cool vid !
Great review as always Peaugh! Yea I love the steampunkesque Optimus. When I hear of H.O.S I Imagine the transformers in medieval times and thier alt modes being like horses but metallic or like dragons, deer , Just like a medieval armor/knight look to thier robot modes.
The Hearts of Steel series actually is a continuity in which the Autobots and Decepticons arrive in the 1800's as opposed to the 1900's. So the time of steam, and the Wright Brothers plane becoming ground-breaking technology.
Yeah I know that XD, I was just saying that whenever I hear the "Hearts of steel" title I picture a medieval timed transformers line where Optimus is like a White Mettalic Horse and Megatron a Black Metallic dragon.
I believe that the the loop with the peg pegs into his (lower?) back and stores the lance while he holds the rifle. I think Vange1us brought it up in his review of this mold all those many reviews ago. I could be wrong though and be misremembering things. Either way, Thanks for the look at this very cool Not-Optimus figure.
Maybe that little weird circle thing you mentioned at the end is used to attach it to a display stand like they do with model kits? That or they use it for this kinda tower gun mode i saw the Shattered Glass version doing on their website? Idk but those are my best guesses.
Great review as always. I don't have this mold but could that black ring maybe plug in on the back or back of a shoulder to store the lance in robot form while not holding it? Just an idea.
Thanks again peaugh for another amazing review. Do you know what all the QC changes were between the 1st and 2nd versions? also because of your excellent review of the awakening airborne squadron (I initially hated his alt form), I pre/ordered KM-01, 03, and 05 from tfsource!
been saving up for a bit and u just ordered mine cant wit actually kinda glad im getting the reissue a buddy of mine has a original and yea it has its problems get well soon p hope you do something for your 1000th vid
You sounds like Chris Lambert when you're sick. Does the lance handle plug into the wrist hole? And could that ring-thingy be a holster for the gun or lance for a hip mount or something?
to be honest that cannon base seems to become a mortar, which is a fat small cannon back in the day that from what I understand its design is vary close to a mortar, not the type we use today.... but from 18th to early 20th century. either work considering ive seen both types of cannons in history books back in highschool.
Is there any diecast in this figure? I know there is some in the Cyclopes/Shockwave figure, but I don't remember you saying anything about it on the last two. Thanks!
Does anybody know if there will be a Megatron figure for this line? Having an Optimus without a Megatron to fight just doesn't seem right. Also wasn't there an Ironhide or someone who turned into a boxcar? Having whoever he was hook up to Optimus would be cool.
All this third party stuff, sigh. Awesome, but expensive. Kid I work with had completely given up on most Hasbro, and just buys third party now. I might pick something up from these guys if they ever get to a Hearts of Steel 'Bee.

I love the look of this so much, can't afford it though.
Good video Peaugh, keep up the good work.
Its for storing the lance!!! also Happy Birthday Niblit!!!
Dang, I've got to buy all of these now. They are amazing.
Great review as always Peaugh!

I'm pretty sure there was a contest for that like two years ago haha
Happy belated birthday to Niblit!
I LOVE TRAINS AND TRANSFORMERS! I KNOW A LOT ABOUT TRAINS!
The little ring is for storing his lance on his back

@bshanks26 this is from the comic series hearts of steel. good comic to read as well.

I have seen this somewhere before.... I believe it was here or optibotimus.
been saving up for a bit and u just ordered mine cant wit actually kinda glad im getting the reissue a buddy of mine has a original and yea it has its problems get well soon p hope you do something for your 1000th vid
Lol awesome Candace reference!!
the seeker mold looks like a bionicle in that colour!
I think you had the railway track upside down
You sounds like Chris Lambert when you're sick.

you should see if zeltraxmillenium has done any work with these
I really hope they make a Knight Morpher Megatron, the concept art of Megatron for Hearts of steel looks like it would be really simple to make
Aww! How old is little niblet now! Shes such an adorable child :3
Hey Peaugh, I really like your vids. Please, tell me, what's the name of the intro song?
peaugh will you get the holiday mini cyclops or the holiday fansproject insecticons?
to be honest that cannon base seems to become a mortar, which is a fat small cannon back in the day that from what I understand its design is vary close to a mortar, not the type we use today.... but from 18th to early 20th century. either work considering ive seen both types of cannons in history books back in highschool.
Peaugh, does the seekers wheels fit the tracks for Knightmorpher!?
Are they doing a pack of rails separately?
Or are these guys compatible with a model railway track?
I would love to go in for practically all the third party stuff from them along with a few others but I just don't have the money :(
If I plan on getting one now, how do I tell if I'm getting the 1st release or the 2nd release?
Is there any diecast in this figure? I know there is some in the Cyclopes/Shockwave figure, but I don't remember you saying anything about it on the last two. Thanks!
umm... just to confirm, resin is the stuff that 1 pint coca cola bottle is made of right?
I think the extra piece is used to store the lance on Prime. Not sure where it goes though.
(\I I/)
Is that the one from lightspeed rescue or has there been another train based one since then? My power rangers knowledge wanes past the mid 2000's.
damn it he put this up the day after my birthday lol!!!! XD
when is bumblebbe being released ????
Soooo.... when are we gonna get a Mastermind Megatron?
Choo Choo? Lucky guy.
You plug the one peice into his back so that you can store the lance on his back.
I read that it was Screecher, Warper and Stormer
Does anybody know if there will be a Megatron figure for this line? Having an Optimus without a Megatron to fight just doesn't seem right. Also wasn't there an Ironhide or someone who turned into a boxcar? Having whoever he was hook up to Optimus would be cool.
The idea that alien, sentient robots with transforming technology would use a lance and shield as weaponry seems "off" to me.
Wonder if they'll make megaton into a flintlock pistol
I bet it's hard for him to travel. Being only able to move at high speeds on railroads and what not.
im sorry about ur allergies dude
Is there a magnus color scheme for this ?
i never said it was weird.... just a very unexpected if funny place to put a giant lance
nice reference.
sounds kool
I would love if u died some G1 reviews just a suggestion
are they doing megatron
Tracks were upside down
The next km should be a ford t-model bumblebee
He is surpposed to be a cannon with wheels on ether side.
Railways are the right of all sentient beings.
i want this figure so bad but he is way to expensive for me right now
vjgabers,if you know how to distinguish fragile plastic from durable plastic, the first one has a more fragile feel to it's plastic
I was gonna say that :)
Allergies?
I liek trains
