Liz, a woman living with her sister's family, crosses paths with Aiden, a tow truck driver, and he takes her to his house in the outskirts of town. The man believes that Liz is his wife Helen, who’s been missing for weeks. Liz realizes that the volatile Aiden might be suffering from an illness, so she uses her quick wit and cunning ways to gain his trust. However, when she’s able to convince him to take his medication, she gets to know the real him, and her fondness for the misunderstood man grows.

This film had so many twists I was getting whiplash. So she gets captured and held captive, but eventually turns the tables and all but takes over in the relationship and control. She also found herself a house, a husband, and a whole other life. Crazy and makes for an oddly intriguing film, but probably not plausible in real life. Oh well, that's why it's called a movie, I guess. Nice work explaining the film, btw.

@@kaic3532 They can and they do. But people with Stockholm syndrome don't take over and become dominant. They simply take on their captors world view and start to believe it. It is a survival mechanism. They have better odds of surviving if they can say "I agree with you," and mean it.
This story was far more disturbing than the titles given to it .

How to accidentally marry a psychopath. Poor guy never saw it coming. Wife leaves, go off your meds and switch personalities, wake up one day tied up on your own couch. Before you know it married to the psycho who killed your wife and dog, and you raising a son not yours 🤣
Reminds me of that other movie a deranged father kidnaps the wrong girl and has her pretend to be his daughter. She came from an abusive home so ends up actually looking up the guy lovingly as a parent since he genuinely thinks she's his estranged daughter and takes good care of her. Girl actually starts pretending to be his daughter. When the actual daughter comes back she kills her and continues happily living her fake life.

Wow, this truly was like a twisted version of Beauty and the Beast, except, this time, Belle takes over, takes care of everything to keep Beast to herself, take over the role of his wife, covers up the bodies, and creates a life with him and their baby. When really the baby's father is her sister's husband 👁️👄👁️ 💀

Good cops yeah. But I’ve heard too many stories of cops giving up or never following through with leads and evidence simply because they are lazy or pinning the crime on an innocent person because of high reputation point and what not. SMH it’s not that far fetched actually.

After the doctor died and she was able to escape after knocking him out, she had a choice to run and she chose to flip the coin and medicate him and use manipulation to get what she wanted. Going as far as taking over this wife’s identity. It’s disturbing
She was homeless, without a car and a baby without a father, she played him and everyone in that dumb little town.

As someone who is a very avid animal lover and animal activist for the fair and kind treatment of pets (I'm not a vegan just to be clear, I LOVE meat; I just cannot watch movies that end the lives of cats or dogs) I have 5 doggos and 3 meow cats; can't watch anything that involves harming them; pretend or not. Kids are touchy too, but I can handle anything else generally. Just not animals.
