In europe we drive on the right side of the road. In Australia they drive left. So we are just to look right left right left. So she looked the wrong way if that makes sense.

Not really. When I visited the US I was absolutely, any time I was anywhere near a road, I'd just look both ways multiple times to make sure I was clear. Maybe its an Australian culture thing because even as a kid I was always taught to look in both directions just in case.
Honestly I look both ways before crossing a road. I do that every time and I teach my son the same thing. You’re always supposed to look left and right

Can we all just appreciate how fast they are willing to drop everything and help to save a life no matter where it is, because the fact that they’re not trained on dealing with road accidents yet flew straight into action is amazing, lifeguards don’t get enough credit, doesn’t matter where you are in the world, they really don’t get enough credit at all

I got hit by a car once I wasn't lookin at the road and I was with my friend everyone was freakin out but I didn't even get a bruise and I full on got hit by it
Their not just life guards, they are heroes. They save anybody they can even the accident is not in the beach❤️

I don't know for sure if it's the same rescue board but another video this channel posted titled "Yatesy punked by Hoppo" recalled a story of Yatesy accidentally backing up I think a jet ski into one of the boards splitting it in half which resulted in Hoppo playing a joke on Yatesy saying he wasnt getting his job back because of it.
Somebody... I think it was Yatsey... Broke the board. And you don't just throw it away. No, you save it, and mount it on the wall as a memento!!! Haha.

You guys have increased my fear of the ocean/seas/large bodies of water...I used to *_Love_* the ocean...and those knee injuries look worst than mine...and I fell of the railings outside of our balcony-yard, plus the giant gash I got from falling off roller skates....

I once ran into a brick wall at 10 years old! My head got the first contact! Worst sobbing ,wailing, bawling of my LIFE!!!! It hurt soooooooooo bad! I can feel her pain!
I was shoved backwards into a wall that had a sharp edge and cracked the back of my head open when I was 5..that shit hurt soo bad. And soo much blood! Had to get alot of stitches and now hair doesnt grow in that area. Luckily I have thick hair and it's long so its not noticable

These lifeguards are my favorite ever
This almost happened to my American dad the first time we were in the UK. He stepped into the road looking the wrong direction then a man grabbed his arm, pulled him back just in time, and said, "We lose a lot of Yanks that way." It definitely made me always very cognizant of which way the cars are oriented in different countries haha.

You have to know your surroundings when working the lifeguard job.Meaning you have to know shops to tell a location to fellow lifeguards,or paramedics.Flag locations on the beach to tell where a person may need help.
