You can change your rubber properties in the menu. In advance settings you can also increase the power!

Good to know! I need to mess around with it some more

@@Looeelooeecan also change throw angle/coefficient. Not played in a while but unless something has changed the default of 1 is pretty low and many irl players bump it up to like 1.1-1.15.
In the middle of the video so not sure if you're using one but there's also controller adapters you can buy that many use (e.g just look up solidslime asapter) to make the bat feel more "realistic"

Yeah I just started messing around with everything I bumped everything all the way to Max and it feels better but honestly still a little slow xD

@@Looeelooee Try turning on Lab Data (or something similar to that name) if youve not tried it. Its faster than having it off but im not sure if that extends to the top end speed as its just a different bounce response curve based on some irl test put together by the developer.
Even then ive heard good irl players describing the game as slower than irl so might just be a case of "suffering from success" alongside swinging too fast for sensors to properly track.
With some mainstream TT companies taking notice, which could lead to decent sponsorship funding, im interested to see how the game develops as vr hardware becomes better. Theres obviously things like better physics engine and haptics (like a standalone controller with the game in mind) but i wonder if full body tracking and an algorithm to convert body movements into predicted weight transfer (e.g AI) could be used to improve realism years down the line as right now VR games have the major limitation of relying on just speed to estimate force.

I'm sure in 10 years it'll be wayyyy more realistic since vr is still a relatively new technology. This is the worst it'll ever be again. I actually just went to the ranked leaderboard and some of the top players have their settings shared so I'll just copy one of them

Pretty crazy how you can tell their level by how they play in the game. Just like in real life. Seems like good technique in real life correlates to the game pretty well.

You need a paddle adapter! solidslime's is really nice.

I actually just got the solidslime it's not bad at all. Will definitely be making a follow up video

I love the realization that it’s realistic - I totally get not really believing it until you try it. I got an adapter which helps a lot (and adjusting the rubber settings - I read that eleven is amateur player’s chance to experience playing with high level rubbers but would be curious to hear you take on that)

@@TylerBullock fwiw it's for sure more realistic than I was expecting but it's definitely no replacement for IRL and it does get some of physics wrong. But overall it's excellent id give it a solid 9/10. I'm playing it more and I'll probably make a follow up video in the coming weeks going into more detail and doing a comparison to IRL

Definitely planning to! Issue is just how difficult vr in first person is to complete smoothly record
