еще бы про down, over, out, away, after, along, by, to. А так ты конечно большая молодец. Я конечно все это знаю, но мне все равно это интересно узнать от не носителя, как вы это видите
Hey I didnt understand what you mean by up = finish an action...rest of them are clear..but up is a bit hazy..can you please help me understand better the use of up as finishing something? For me it is more like increasing the intensity of something..as you said for on
I've asked a British person to comment on her pronunciation , his comment is : "for a non native very good but America is full of immigrants so they don't have a "pure" accent like us English people have"
+Se Ti the idea of pureness is very vane . it's pointless. Every accent is unique and sounding perfect is just a unachievable goal.we need to be understood.that is the point
Se Ti: Everybody speaks with an accent. There are sounds in English that have disappeared as the sound K in the word 'Know'. Nobody knows what the K sound was is the word. Perhaps only the members of the Germanic and Scandinavian tribes that conquered England could produce it. In the USA we have different accents. The same happens in England. The people from Southern England has a different accent than the Northerners.
That's part of the English language. When you produce some English sounds, it looks as if you're smiling, but you are not. And if you don't do it, the sound won't come out. For example, when you pronounce the sound S you have to smile. Otherwise, you won't produce it.
Joel Guilherme Velten, você pode diminuir a velocidade de reprodução do vídeo. Quando um falante nativo do inglês fala algo que eu não consigo entender ou fala muito rápido, eu uso esse recurso.
