    Emma, What about directional words? Such as, we “went up to” Maine, or we “traveled down to” Cape Cod. We “turned northwest to” Boylton or we “drove southeast to” New Bedford. Are these directional words such as “up”, “down”, “northwest”, “southeast” part of phrasal verbs?

    I like the way you say 'out'. It sounds like the way they talk in Fargo. That was set somewhere like Minnesota or Canada??

    • @johnflatt1288
      @johnflatt1288 4 месяца назад +1

      The movie takes place in several different cities across Minnesota and also Fargo which is the capital of North Dakota. It is not very well known state, but it shares a border with both Minnesota and Canada, so the accents are all very similar.
      I personally think Emma’s accent seems pretty neutral all things considered. Like you say though, the giveaways are the way she pronounces diphthongs like “out” and “about”. :)
