I remember walking into Baa Bar in Liverpool back in '95 and the place wreaked of ganja. Ian Brown was sat at the end of the bar toking on a big fat spliff. No one else could have done that. He was sound as a pound and happily shared the reefer.
Stone Roses made two albums, one of which was probably the best album of all time, Oasis were brilliant but they wouldnt have been as popular if not for the roses
My final wish is before one of them dies, Ian Brown and John Squire would make peace with each other. I don't necessarily think they will ever be on the same stage again but just to sit in the same room without violence. Those two made history.
'LOL'....That says it all there pal!! So by your logic The Spice Girls are a better band than The Smiths because they have sold more albums? Ian Brown is an innovator, he makes incredible music for himself and the Stone Roses were the greatest band of my generation. Just because you got a slap in an indie club for dressing like something out of a Tim Burton film you shouldn't generalize!!
On Oasis... we were jealous because the blew up (got huge) and they were jealous because our band was great. That pretty much sums it up. Oasis were nowhere near the Stone Roses for creativity, originality and musical talent but Liam Gallagher copied Ian's image and they made a name for themselves through posturing, attitude and antics. It obviously worked but in terms of the music itself the Gallagher brothers are not on the same planet as Ian Brown.
@@jigglchoo8858 That’s your opinion. My opinion is that Oasis succeeded in creating a myth that millions of people bought into, when in reality for me they were the most overrated and over hyped band probably of all time.
yeah i love the fact that noel walks down he stairs just taking his hood of seconds later. ian brown, his a proper rock star, archetypal. He has that mystique about him that noone else has. indescribable, godlike.
Didn't really upset me that you made comments toward Ian Brown. I'm quite sure he doesn't care what people think. I was more annoyed at the comments aimed at a twenty-two year old and the generalisations.
And I am also an admirer of Ian Brown. I don't care who the question was aimed at, you have placed it in a public forum so I interjected. The lad that you aimed it at is twenty-two and you are how old? 44? And you told him to go and "buy some spot cream"...erm very mature. That comment annoyed me so I thought I would call you a 'bellend'...which you seem to be.
"Come on Noel, let's go get a panini" brilliant :-)
He is an honourable gentleman, very street wise but with a good creative head on his shoulders ,salute you sir
Ian Brown=LEGEND!!!
Legend agreed
"do you often get involved in gravy disputes" lol
The best Ian Brown Interview
Ha! It’s rare that he wants to chat 😂
Ian Brown is a geezer
Ian Brown one of the coolest most truthful honest living human beings out there. Isn't afraid to expose all the mass lies & corruption out there
There Is Not Many Blokes Like Him In The Business Now... LEGEND
Ian is a gent, top man and up for a laugh 👍
I think this is one of the best things Ian Brown ever did, very funny
Awesome never seen this before and Mr Ian Brown, laughing and chuckling in an interview. 👍
Superb, Simon and Ian both .Simon's Amstell's geniusly funny, I hope we see more of him on T.V. soon
I remember walking into Baa Bar in Liverpool back in '95 and the place wreaked of ganja. Ian Brown was sat at the end of the bar toking on a big fat spliff. No one else could have done that. He was sound as a pound and happily shared the reefer.
I think Simon thought he was going to be able to Dennis Pennis this interview but Ian was up for the banter- great interview, two great people!
Simon Amstel , realy cool and funny , great interview. Showing Ian Brown is a nice guy.
Amstel was a great interviewer cos he shoots the breeze so easily.
favourite interview with ian ever.
'I love walking in slow motion' HAHA!
Stone Roses made two albums, one of which was probably the best album of all time, Oasis were brilliant but they wouldnt have been as popular if not for the roses
Not 'Probably' but actually... For me, the BEST album I've ever heard.
They had 4 albums if you count garage flowet and turns into stone definitely 3
Almighty Ian Brown, what an absolute legend
Man I miss Simon Amstel on shows. He was a great presenter on Nevermind the Buzzcocks
How fuckin cool is Ian Brown. Effortless.
Great interview,very funny.
Ian is so cool man
"And now the bottom shuffle?""First, turn those cameras off." And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, "Come on. Let's get a panini." LOL
What a cool dude
love this man
You can tell Ian likes Simon, notoriously hard to interview, this is very funny which Ian is
Hahaha, Simon is brilliant. "Bottom shuffle" is going to be my new favourite (compound) word. :)
Brown a honest legend
my idollll!!(ian brown -_-)
My final wish is before one of them dies, Ian Brown and John Squire would make peace with each other. I don't necessarily think they will ever be on the same stage again but just to sit in the same room without violence. Those two made history.
They were back onstage 1 year after this comment. Maybe Ian seen this and made peace. If so thank you because it was the best show I have ever seen
Your wish was granted
Music Legend !
Ian Brown has always been effortlessly cool
That went way to well
Ian is a truth seeking freedom fighter……but makes beautiful music on the side…..love him….x
what a fucking legend
They made the best sticker albums.
Think he's misremembered that story. NO chip shop in South Wales doesn't have gravy. You have to ask them NOT to have gravy on your chips.
That's a fun interview
Amstel is great...but he was trying WAY too hard to ask the awkward questions. Ian was like..."yeah, whatever"....
'LOL'....That says it all there pal!! So by your logic The Spice Girls are a better band than The Smiths because they have sold more albums? Amstell = perfect interviewer
“It’s all about gravy” never a truer word spoken
A round of applause for 'soulkiss1001'.

Classic
C'mon Noel, lets go get a panini...
I know it. I'll look for a bloke with a Cure t-shirt. There must be one left somewhere..
You have your Idea of cool & I'll have mine! :)
Mr, Brown again.. "when ur Halo slips 4 good u'll have 2 wear ur hood".. yes u do !
He looks like Gene October
You used the word 'cool'. I just wonderd what was 'cool' about you since you seem to be quite scathing about Ian Brown?
yeah most people
"come on noel, lets go get a panini"
PANINI!
Brilliant. What a double act.
" come on noel , lets go and get a panni" hahah

Think you need to lighten up.If youre so into meeting me I live in Julian Rd Bath.Anytime mate.:)
“Better not tell him I always preferred blur” the fuck’s up with him
Far too cool to star this.
Some how, i get the feeling ian doesnt gets on with noel and liam
He's a friend of Noels and i'm sure Noel was a roadie for the Roses before Oasis so i don't think so.
Joe Boss no he wasn’t. noel was roadie for inspiral carpets
Noel & Liam are wankers compared to (actually NO comparison)this is thee most underrated legend of ALL time!!😎
C'mon Ian, do your porridge
Get to STRANGEWAYS.
lol he was a tad scared to be his scathing self in that interview.
Karaoke Ian !!!
Rip off the fans concert tour !!
Get to PRISON Brown.
im sure if he didnt get on with noel he wouldn't have done a single with him
I reckon Ian Brown and Karl Pilkington are related and not just because they're from the same neck of the woods.
@intelmose I will second that!

ian brown ,, top mad for it or what
hilarious
