  • What sets apart a person the person who is training to be a PJ or is already a PJ from the rest of the people training in the gym?
    The key to success on a mission is how much effort you put in prior to getting there. Personality will lead you to make certain decisions while you are on the mission but it is the character that will stick with you your entire life. Something you must build upon each day and it started building as soon as you were conscious enough to make your own decisions.
    The next time you are in the gym or training with your buddies ask yourself this question, have I done enough?

    Special thanks to the person from the A&S team that sent me this "Not Ready" tee. Here's exactly what he wrote to me when he graduated. "I wanted to let you know that I graduated A&S and was selected in the last class as the #1 select. I can’t say enough how dialed in your program is for this process. I felt completely prepared. For those people who wonder if these workouts work... I completed the Indoc Grad program as well as the get selected program when it was rolled out as well as 2 live events hosted in San Antonio. I constantly and consistently fell back on my experiences in the Be A PJ workouts to get me through events in A&S. No other program even comes close. Thank you for being a mentor and teacher during the years I spent preparing for selection."

    Im training right now to become a pj, i was thinking about it when i was 16 but now that i am 18 and out of high school i decided to go for it 1000% , im making 1% progress everyday but im definitely not ready yet. The thing im struggling right now is the swimming aspect of the training but i know i will get better. Thank you so much for the videos and information you provide to all of us.

      The pool is the monster everyone has trouble with, make sure you are doing some simple drills like flooded mask flutter kicks along with the swim training you are doing and some breathing work.

    The last few days I have been training without music to really test my mental game. I've let the fear of wasted time and the fear of lost progress drive me to finish and crank out the last sets. But thanks to your video I have a new way of looking at it. My family, my friends, and my future friends only deserve the best- most capable, version of myself.
    Due to end of the year academics, I haven't been able to workout as much as I used to; which had hurt my confidence a little bit. But just hearing this new approach gets me excited for my workout later today- even though it is legs and the sun is not letting up. But once again, thank you @HowToBeAPJ; without you I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have- physically and mentally. And even though I still have a long journey ahead of me (especially for swimming); it's videos like these that keeps me working hard.
    (even if it's under this relentless sun surrounded by these meek clouds).

    I feel exactly where your coming from.
    I've saved two people's loves one where someone I knew personally had cut his leg REALLY bad. I mean blood was flowing out and he was about to lose consciousness.
    I acted quick and saved him another time was where someone needed CPR and luckily for ME I was training to be a lifeguard that summer. I was able to save them....
    Could have been three people I saved bad car accident she could not breathe and she needed that throat thing to to save her.... she did not make it.
    I just turned 30 and am clearing up legal issues and will be joining the air force really soon. Really wanting to push for PJ.

    Hi there man, I’ve just stumbled upon your channel.
    I’m still uncovering if this is a path I want to go for.
    I will likely, depending on some further contemplation, reach out. I’ll continue to watch your videos and learn everything I can.
    I recognize that this path, is no easy path. And have to continue to learn if I’m capable mentally and physically. I’ll be chewing on it.
    Thanks for the access to your insight.

It's good to know that I'm on the right track and having that similar mindset necessary to be successful in my dream of becoming a PJ. Quick question about "The Test" in person program. Do you know when the next one you will have is? I am leaving for A&S in a few months and would really like to try and get out to one of these if possible!

      There are many ways to live out your purpose, whether or not you are able to improve your vision through surgery is the first avenue I would explore. If it is not in the cards and you did everything you could to get to the job, then find another job which will help save peoples lives.

    Great video! Been watching this channel along with Ones Ready for years. But do have a question. What style of working out best suits the Special Warfare needs. Right now I’m mostly weight training along with running every other day. Should I shift to more cross fit style training? More cardio? Or stick with what I’m doing now?

    • @HowToBeAPJ
      @HowToBeAPJ  Год назад +1

      The broad category I usually use to workout is functional fitness. I also do some power lifting and CrossFit type workouts as well as of course cardio which is the foundation. If you think about what a mission would entail it would be some kind of extrication using strength and some sort of distance movement carrying weight some times for miles

    • @landonpoole3322

    • @HowToBeAPJ
      @HowToBeAPJ  3 месяца назад +1

      Read books about PJs and see if this is something you are willing to fully commit to then start training for it. When it is the first thing you think of when you wake up and last thing you think of before you go to sleep then you know you have to do it.

    • @HowToBeAPJ
      @HowToBeAPJ  Год назад

      Find some like minded individuals while you start training and keep this mindset as you continue through your training. Talk to a recruiter and get some more info on whether you are qualified as well because there are people who have disqualifying medical conditions and dont know it. This will also guide you towards like minded people when you get in the DEP program. If you have any questions along the way you can email me brian@howtobeapj.com

    Before I couldn’t even run a mile… still I feel I’m not doing enough
    I am trying to run faster n longer…
    I am trying to build muscle I just want to know how I need to train?

    • @HowToBeAPJ
      @HowToBeAPJ  11 месяцев назад

      I would start with a 3 month goal of losing 20-30 lbs which is doable. I would start tracking the foods you are eating as well as do a mock IFT in order to see progression and make sure you are on track. Set your goals and reverse plan from there!
