I share with you footage that I captured by accident of a girl in a gazebo...and what her faded smile represents to women of all ages.
It was a tough week...that happens in life! But I am so encouraged by what faith and love can do to heal a heart.

Wondering what the little girl was thinking as sadness over took the joyful smile ?
I wish I knew the family...and the Mom never asked the name of my channel so I suppose I will never see the little girl grow up. But I think her face was beautiful and expressive. I hope she would take pride in seeing how strong she is, how beautiful she posed and how much her Mom loved her to want her to look pretty in the picture. In her little sweet face I saw my own 50 years ago...and I am so grateful I was there. And I am so glad you are here Darlene!!!
It probably was like every other photo, SMILE, and then thank goodness its over, that and as it was so cold outside the poor wee girl was probably over the whole thing.
I wonder if she was cold, or hungry, or had to go to the bathroom; not a good situation in the cold! Maybe mom promised hot chocolate and she was impatient. I hope she got hot chocolate 😊
I think her mother said something to her that made her frown. She was still smiling after the picture was taken but as her mother spoke to her it upset her whatever the mom was saying to her. Probably being too critical of her smile or pose. That’s how moms are, wanting the perfect picture.
Susan..as always I loved spending time with you and you look stunning. Your skin looks so beautiful. Unfortunately, I have seen many children looking sad over the past couple of years. Everything happening in the world has had a huge impact on children. Kids need a lot of love and attention right now. They need a sense of security. They also need to know there are people they can depend on and that they have a bright future ahead. Lots of love to you my dear friend!❤️

Susan, your videos bring so much peace to me. I am soon approaching my 60th bd and found you last year. I love all of your content but especially your frank honesty of your life, your path, your personal relationships, your insight and your favorites. Whether your videos are deep or light, they are always entertaining. Thank you for doing the work on researching products. And, btw, your skin is always stunning but your hair today is absolutely gorgeous!
WOW!!! My hair! It's always a challenge!!!! When my mama was my age she had very little hair left...I am grateful to still have a few strands on the top of my head!! Thank you Lori for being for sweet!!!

Thanks to you I am not worried too much about aging. In my 60s I can still look beautiful, feminine, and young as you.
I notice something. Even when I was in my 20's I felt sometimes old. Now I think it's so stupid - how you can feel old in your 20s? The truth is at any age I felt sometimes old. Always are women, girls around us who are younger, more beautiful than we are. We shouldn't chase men who prefer younger women or feel bad that some men want younger women. . There are PLENTY OF men who love older women too! We women also have some preferences, so if men prefer younger women that's ok too.
I have some "trick" When I feel old I tell myself that in 10 years from now I'll be looking at my pictures and I'll be thinking that I was so young in 2022. If I'll be 80 I will think about myself that I was so young when I was 70... .. it helps me a lot and immediately feeling old goes away.
I knew one lady- she was around 90 and she told me that she is too old to wear shorts and when she was young when she was 70 years old she always had shorts.
Yes. having dogs does help. They add love, joy, and happiness to our lives. Also doggie kisses.
Susan, you know one thing I love about you? You are so real, you share your life with us and don’t try to be someone your not. Your skincare is what we all can use and mostly afford. You aren’t full of lip & cheek fillers, Botox, etc etc....you are you. We can all relate to you. I love it!
I love my rose hip oil because of you and use it several times a week before I go to bed. I buy The Ordinary brand as it’s inexpensive and has fabulous reviews. Have you tried any Ordinary products?
You mentioned you watch Dr Dray (?).....if you have never watched Dr Sam Ellis give her a try, she by far is the best Dermatologist I have found. She’s fabulous.....

I wish I knew what it was that allows my skin to react so positively to facial oils...I have a feeling one size doesn't fit all...and I do think I would look much younger with Botox and fillers...but I just am not willing to risk my health for vanity. I just can't. But that is just me and boy I do understand the tinge of sadness that we sometimes feel when our face seems to be "traveling" with age...but in the end I am so grateful to just be alive....and it's sort of a challenge too!!! @@LittlePoet you are so correct about risking for vanity purposes. I watch other Utube gals and there's one in particular that I swear if she sees a wrinkle she runs to the dermatologist but yet she boasts how gorgeous and smooth her skin is due to her skincare.....well duh!!!!

February has been difficult, a year ago Feb 1st my sweet Beagle boy passed, my Mother in law just passed away a couple weeks ago on Valentine's day unexpectedly. I didn't feel like celebrating my birthday this year. It just came and went. But watching your video gave me peace, thank you. Hi Miss Susan...Here I am, a day late, and 290+ comments short. Thank you for sharing so much wonderful skin care product information that you love with us. I have to say that the dusters that you model are just so pretty... great color and flow. They are super casual, but because of the cut of them, they are "Flirty" and flowy. You wear them so nicely. Every color is great for you. I enjoyed the quotes about seeing the world and showing the world... and I sit here and think I would love to see so many spectacular places in this beautiful world. But I don't want to deal with the crowds. The crowds just seem to commercialize and depersonalize it all. Everything seems to be constantly geared towards tourism, and money making a primary goal. The beauty gets monetized. The beauty gets minimized. I know that the beauty remains, but the ability to see and enjoy it becomes a point of commerce. And that just hurts my heart. Dear Lord have mercy. That little girl made me cry. That was the relationship between my mother and me…still is. God give her the strength to look past her mother’s shoulder at the other woman holding the camera…the stable, kind, beautiful woman who knows how beautiful that little girl is! Susan, I love this video! Although, I have loved everyone one of them! And, I'm going to purchase some of your favorites for sure! I am also so glad that you mentioned the little girl in the gazebo. When I watched your video, I immediately noticed the look on her face and also started to cry and wonder... I had to watch it a few more times, because I was so worried about her. I questioned myself, thinking that once again, I am worried about nothing, but I couldn't get past her little broken smile. And, I kept hoping that she doesn't have to feel this sadness often. I couldn't help wonder, what was said to her at that split second, to hurt her heart so........

I’m so glad I found you! You give me Hope. I was married to a Vet and separated in March of 2018. He gave me a std after 28 years together. The first few months after moving out I was really happy but also heartbroken. By the way I’m 65 and he was 10 years older. Early fall he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Our youngest was only 18. In January of. 2019 diagnosed with lung cancer. At that time I let him move in with me to care for him. We never divorced. All diagnosed to agent Orange from Vietnam. He passed August 2019. There was never any intimacy after we separated. He wanted but I couldn’t forgive and found out it had gone on for many years. I didn’t know how to be alone! I started seeing a friend of ours in February 2020 just because of loneliness with both of our situations. It’s been two years together now but I see red flags I guess. But your videos are making me less scared of moving on. I don’t really have any friends around here and the few I had have passed on. I’m night blind so am limited on driving. I feel lost but you give me hope! Ty

I love you and your videos! I did want to mention one thing… I hear people talk all the time about the pandemic hitting and no one wearing makeup and no one going anywhere. That must have been nice for everyone that could do that. I never missed a beat. I have a job that didn’t allow me to work at home do I still had to go out every day. Sorry but I get frustrated because not all of us had the luxury to stay home. 😞
