The Santa Monica Pier was featured in the film Bean with Rowan Atkinson, where he rides the Ride Of Doom
19:10 especially the OG Barney from 1987 who was that deep purple, but it was changed to the color we know and love because blue screens

I wish they had a coaster like that on one of Blackpool's piers.

Such a cute little Morgan coaster. Doesn't even have upstop wheels, just old school Arrow upstop pads (5:55). Reminds me of their mine train they did for that small garden park. Thanks for the videos.

Looks so much like Venice Pier from the movie “Falling Down” but I guess that’s some miles away from Santa Monica. It’s a part of the world I have not visited even though I’ve been to L.A. The Westerner looks a real classic coaster and there is something about fairground and coaster rides on piers that you don’t get at theme parks. Looks a beautiful part of the world just a shame about the weather. Great vlog👍

There’s a aquarium at the base of the pier by the starbucks! i’m a volonteer there and it’s a great place to check out while your enjoying your day at the pier

I was there in 2009 and did all the studios for my fb page Framed Dreams. And of course also Pacific Park.
When I was there the place was packed and was so unenjoyable you just wanted out! So I didn’t get a chance to ride any rides and I wouldn’t want to anyways that day so I’ll have to go someday. California is a little dangerous now and days though.

Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are both spectacular and our favourite parks in California

The gta graphics look sick
My memory has been lost. But did you do a video at Griffith park on the north end side? There's a carousel there where Walt sat on a bench, now in disneyland. That's where he sat and thought of disneyland. Also the mini trains that were at his house are there, I took a ride on it as a kid. There is also a replica or real barn that was on his property as a child. It stores his personal train car from Disneyland.
We didn't get chance to on this trip unfortunately!

I forget which game it is, but an abandoned SF New Orleans appears in some video game now
I visited in 2007 but didn't bother with the coster felt it was too expensive back then, Although the pier and coaster do appear in one of my books.

Hi both what a great vlog that is, it really is just like Blackpool piers. Its great to see you mix the videos up with smaller parks. I have a quick question for your both, I am off to Orlando this year and travelling with TUI on a 787 dreamliner. I have paid for extra legroom seats as I suffer from cramp a lot, as you have so much around the world do you have any advice on the best seats to choose. Keep the Vlogs coming.
