An edit for everyone who's been commenting: Thank you ❤️ I didn't imagine my comment would touch anyone really, so it's been amazing to hear from all of you. Thank you and please stay strong! We need you!
I'm a woman. I'm part of the accounting team for my manufacturing company. I specifically work at their prefabrication factory. I am one of 2 women who work at this location. I am the youngest at 26. Everyone else I've met thus far on the floor is a man. And let me tell you, it's a good thing. These machines and the materials they're working with are intense. I could not efficiently do what they do. Now, I show up at the office one day a week to scan in information, and then I work from home. They show up at 4 or 5 AM and start pushing metals until 1:30 PM roughly. Yes, I had to gain some basic skills and knowledge in the area of accounting, but my job AND my gender is cushy. The guys are always respectful. They're always humble. They're extremely job focused which makes MY job 10x easier because I know they have the info I need. Honestly, we need men and there's no way I'm ever gonna say otherwise.

When they are not the ones climbing the telephone holes in the middle of the storms. When they are not the ones doing the extremely tough jobs. Boggles my mind that these feminist want to make men into women. There’s a reason God put men on this planet. And we need to celebrate them. And we hope that they will celebrate us for what we bring to the table. And each of us should have respect for the other.

I hear you. My 50's have been the most challenging (am 59 now):
      - losing my "edge" in the workforce, life (tired, brain fog, growing fat, etc)
      - kids moving out, making their own decisions, sometimes hard to understand or help
      - investments and retirement unsure, insecure
If I may offer some advice. I hope you find it useful.
At 54 I went to my doctor (internal medicine) and told him (as an old software engineer), "...I have to continually learn new things, new technology, i work and compete with the best 20/30-somethings India has to send us. They're energetic, enthusiastic, have remarkable educations....I have to sneak out every afternoon to take a 20-30 nap just to make it through".
He listened, nodded his head, scheduled me for a bunch of tests and I took them. Found some issues. Got me back on track.
Go see your doctor! A Dr. who gets it.
Testosterone therapy is awesome, it can give you the means for a second chance. Once you're back on your feet, you have make a plan and execute.
Do not discount this next advice.... Inflammation is the single most important thing to address in your body to increase quantity and quality of the time that's left. Research it, take the right supplements (there are several, vitamin D is so important), AVOID the foods that cause inflammation. Avoiding inflammation causing foods is many times more important than taking the right supplements.
Inflammation is the cause of all coronary issues. Plaque and the resulting ruptures trigger blood clotting that at the micro level, float and block blood flow to key areas including brain and other organs. At the macro level, they kill. Authritus, diseases with the bones and joints, inflammation is right there... The result of your own body immune system attacking itself. Gut health, leaky gut, literally sh..t leaking into your blood system, doing all sorts of inflammation and harm. Be an anti-inflammatory fanatic! Don't let inflammation be your body's default response... Don't let it spend year after year being inflamed. Inflammation should only occur when there is an injury, bee sting, etc...
Exercise! No less than 20 minutes a day. Take a walk, do yard work, pull weeds. Doesn't need to be crazy. Stretch, use and stretch the muscles. Don't abuse the joints, but use them.
      Keep listening to Jordan.
Keep your head up, you're not alone.

1st time heard this i was on my way to work on a childeren hospital in Knoxville TN at 4:30am. It was like my 22nd 10hour shift in a row and everyday around our work site were alot of college students and staff. Looking at us with disgust like they were doing something much more important than building a kids hospital. I cried in my car listening to this full version. My father worked with me and just a few months later he dropped dead on the job with me doing cpr for the 8 and a half minutes it took for ems to show up. Air born ranger 1st of the 75th regiment, and built this country for 30 years after that and died doing it. No thanks olny disgust and maybe even relief from the college folks. One less rough tough mean man in the world. But he had a degree from ohio state university.
