For the people who are wondering what would happen if the devs stuck with this type of style, the game most likely would’ve died. The battle royal mode was created because the actual game wasn’t doing well, and it was also for the devs to keep working on the actual game. METALLICA EVERYBODY. And the fact you can make ‘Peter Griffin hits the griddy on Omni-Man and then get clipped by The Joker with an Among Us guy on his back’ jokes. Incredible. Also there’s the Save the World game mode, it’s still up but it’s neglected and overshadowed.

I actually really liked this tone and theme. I think even save the world lost focus and became way to complex on its own. This seemed a lot more simple and focused way more on the survival and scavenge aspect
Am I the only one that feels that with the whole battle game mode being integrated the game is losing its original focus? EDIT: Sometimes I look back at this comment and imagine a world where this was the final product, Epic can go bury themselves for all I care anymore.
Imagine passionately working on a zombie survival game for 7 years and releasing a secondary game mode as a little bonus but that secondary game mode received a lot more positive attention than the main game so you now have to shift all of your plans to focus on the secondary game mode.

I actually really liked this tone and theme. I think even save the world lost focus and became way to complex on its own. This seemed a lot more simple and focused way more on the survival and scavenge aspect

Imagine passionately working on a zombie survival game for 7 years and releasing a secondary game mode as a little bonus but that secondary game mode received a lot more positive attention than the main game so you now have to shift all of your plans to focus on the secondary game mode.
