You've won Raptors analyst credibility points for your take on the Poeltl trade debate. Poeltl is a positive regardless if we are competing or rebuilding. He brings so many positives outside of his on court production; great teammate, consistent hard working, good person off the court. Don't trade Poeltl unless it's a homerun offer.
always been a fan of Jakob, glad he's getting the love he deserves. Isnt Boucher our only viable backup center? If so, would we really want that considering we've been talking of moving on from Boucher for a few years now?
I appreciate Scottie's creativity and personality in fashion. I am more critical of people that never express themselves and just conform, as opposed to someone taking a chance.
Keep Jak if he wants to stay, and build the next great Raptors team with him…or trade him for a godfather offer (aka more than what you traded for him).
unless you plan on paying Yak 33-40 million for 4 years, at the end of next season in 2026, you have to move yak now for max value. you slow roll him into his contract year and dont give him an early extension this summer, its gonna end badly like siakam/fred.
Yep. He's having the best season of his career, and honestly would probably be happy to go to a team that's competing now. With how many injuries are happening this year, there's a chance you'll get a good haul for him.
@@lyleugleman3773 look at hartenstein, got back from injury, making 30 million a year as okc center and put up 13 pts. there is a chance okc goes ok lets swap centers, and they got the picks to make it worth it to eat the extra 10 million a year this year, and 30 million next year for hartenstsin.
Reminder that the raptors were 4-28 without Jakob last year. Sure the record is bad now, but he's the reason that games are much closer now. If we trade him and we start Fernando at center, we're getting blown out by 30 every game. I'd rather see the ethical tank we are having right now and plus he still has a couple contract years for his value to grow if we do eventually trade him.
yaks ufa at end of 2026 season next year. unless you plan on over paying yak 33-40 million for 4 years in early extension in summer, you trade him now.
Yall fans in the comments were mad when we traded for him and now are pushing for us to trade him. Yall are fucked. Jak is a very smart player and will always play his role. He's excelling right now because of RJ. There isn't another big on the market or part of any other team that can help these young player grow their confidence while trying to win. Toronto doesn't need many more young pieces or assets.
You need loyalty, and commitment, and a high IQ, along with humility. Look at our championship team. Patience is needed. Teams should be aware. Playing against our B and C teams is crazy.
I can never understand how people can justify trading a very good 29 year old centre just to be worse. Especially because the Raps already have a core in place. I'm sorry but there's very little basketball insight here.
@nkumansantos1794 Are you serious? Since he has been injured the Raptors have won 1 game. In his first game back the Raptors win. You and the fan that liked your comment are low IQ fans. Maybe stick to hockey.
Trade yak fanboys are going crazy... yall have no idea what the raptors can be with him... once again u want to trade a sure thing for a maybe... casuals

How are u an RJ Barrett Stan and ur hating on Siakam? Nasty work
If the offer is great, you trade him. Otherwise, hold him. He allows other players to develop.

Hein!!
you can't trade him
To me, Scottie Barnes is the guy to trade.
The team is playing way better without him.
