Jack White and Loretta Lynn "Portland Oregon" 1/28/15 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville 10 Years after the making of Van Lear Rose - Jack and Loretta's first live show together.
That was amazing to watch Jack take care of her. Note how he very gently reminds when the verses come in and kinda helps remind what the verses start with. Look at the joy in his eyes. This album (Van Lear Rose) is a masterpiece.
It melts my heart whenever I see the 2 of them together especially performing. You can tell loves, respects and admires the hell out of that true country Queen and it's clear the feelings are mutual. She's a real living legend and he's a musical genius and legend in the making!
Just let me say Jack’s followers are now more favorite fans! They respected Loretta when she waltz on stage! Huge respect from the audience! Isn’t it sad that radio forgets the Queens of country music and won’t help them put out their new music? I think it is a terrible thing! Dolly did a calibration with Zach and win awards at the gospel awards. Jack and Loretta won an Emmy while they received crickets from country radio! THANK YOU JACK WHITE AND YOUR FANS!!
Jack's the man and Loretta is the Queen of Country and Jack was very respectful of her. I don't like perfection in music and this is the greatest imperfection ever . 😎
I love this song. I love them as a duet. I love this video! LL is the epitome of the definition LADY. What is has had. Im glad Jack made her acquaintance & produced her. Well deserved new attention for her. Just GREAT all round.
Very few moments do I remember when I first heard a song. This was one of them. I was in an Irish Pub in Seattle. This song came on the jukebox. I stopped mid conversation and said, "I need to find out what song this is." I got home later, downloaded iTunes, and bought this as my first song for iTunes!
Wanna see what royalty looks like? This is what royalty looks like: hard fought, well earned, joyful. Love how Jack White is looking at Loretta Lynn. He's in awe, as he should be.
What a tribute to my home town by the Queen of Country. And Jack was awesome too. Would love to have a slow Gin Fizz with the both of them in Portland.
I do admit I am no big fan of the music per se of the White Stripes but his duet with Loretta Lynn gave me a whole new respect of him. He is one of the nicest guys in alternative music and is very innovative. Great job both of you.
Even when Loretta and Johnny Cash and their generation fell out with modern country radio, some very gracious members of the younger generation wouldn’t let them be put aside and audiences supported them. I’m very proud it went down like that.
Love this. RIP Loretta Lynn😢 I was watching and I think she was use to her band and not Jack's. How he did take care of her. I've seen Loretta perform with her band.
My hometown.......................I really want to try a sloe gin fizz !! HA HA HA !!!!!!!! And Jack please play Portland ! That would make my life complete !!!!!!!!!!
wow chuck..thanks a TON for uploading this video man!! ? for you.....were you the one to actually take this footage cuz it is absolutely stunning in quality from the crisp black & white to the near perfect sound!! i'm no camera enthusiast ..however i have to know what camera you used to take this footage. lemme guess...your phone? lol i felt like i was there!!
All you wanna-be "Music industry created" female country so-called singers can go kick rocks because Loretta Lynn made female country music and pretty much made country music as whole.
That was amazing to watch Jack take care of her. Note how he very gently reminds when the verses come in and kinda helps remind what the verses start with. Look at the joy in his eyes. This album (Van Lear Rose) is a masterpiece.
He IS THE MAN after all !!!! :) :)

The chemistry between them is touching. An unlikely duo making magic.

What a great show! You have to realize she is 82 and she was sick, so God bless her, they were amazing!
Kevin Lang my thoughts exactly. He was so gentle with her. She is country music royalty and he knows it. This is priceless.
Poor Loretta didn't remember how it went. Jack is such a gentleman, took it all so well and guided her
Jack and Meg listened to her all the time. She is a hero to him. Class act Jack

That's what I said. I guess maybe the show was so long ago the forgot about it. But she said several times that it was their first show together.
He's really sleeping on a chance to bring Umbros back in style... js.
