Thank you for making this, it helps a lot, also one thing that you kinda said about the step back and snatch back, you drive INTO the player, making contact, if they can’t feel you and your not making contact, your getting locked, once you drive INTO the defense you step back or snatch back hard, also when driving into the defense don’t drive wide. Some good examples are 1:54 and 2:08 definitely going to be watching more of these 💯
Sup man, huge fan of your vids, I was wondering how to deal with this problem, im always nice in practice or when im hooping alone but i always get scared, overwhelmed and suck in the games. How do I fix this. Keep grinding
Its mainly just your anxiety. Practice & by yourself you're not anxious because you're comfortable in those environments. Don't be afraid to mess up in games, everybody makes mistakes in games, you have to go out & just play your game without fear. I know its a lot easier said than done but try to go into games with the mentality you're better than your opponents. The more you score and make a right play in game it builds confidence & drops your anxiety. Warm up before every game, the longer the warm up the better, it builds confidence. Keep hooping, the more games you play the more comfortable you get in games, so never give up
one thing that helped me growing up was not focusing on the result but focusing on doing the right action. For example I used to hesitate on shots from fear of missing but i decided to be proud of the fact that i took the right shot instead of focusing on a miss or a make. Cause once you get comfortable you'll start to make the same shots you make in practice because you arent uptight anymore. At the end of the day all you can do is control what you can control. Fall in love with the process. And also remember that there is no success without failure first.
you should break down Ja Morants game. Such a deep driving bag but he is also one of the best playmakers in the NBA so when driving hes always in control
