  • Kimigayo (君が代) is the national anthem of Japan. Its lyrics, which are from a waka poem written in Heian period (794-1185), are the oldest among the world's national anthem. While the title "Kimigayo" is usually translated as His Imperial Majesty's Reign, no official translation of the title or lyrics has been established in law.
    This version was composed by John William Fenton, an Irish marching band leader, when he realized that Japan didn't have its own national anthem.

    It's a mixture of Czech Republic, Wales, Austria, Hungary, Denmark, Iceland and Taiwan.
