Katkat doesn't like to talk to the press, and everybody knows that. When partnering with Kréjcikova, she always let Barbora do most of the speaking. I don't think the journalists were being disrespectful, rather, they knew that CoCo was going to be more talkative - and also someone winning her first Grand Slam Doubles trophy is more noteworthy than someone winning her 8th; for Katerina that's just any given tuesday. ;)

Siniakova is a great doubles player but has not won a singles GS yet. Coco was very gracious and tried to let Siniakova talk as much as possible. It's not her fault if most of the questions were directed at her. Stop trying to pit them against one another.

If your partner is injured, what else can she do? I do not think they take it personally. In fact , I think Pegula may need extra time to recover and gain strength to do both again. Even for the Olympics. Coco may play doubles there with Townsend or and Townsend/Keys for that event.

Yes, they each got a trophy, as did Paolini and Irani. The prize amount for the winners was USD $631,067 and the losing team was USD $315,533. However, I don’t know if that was each or if they split the amounts between the two.
