I told the car thief I needed proof of ownership of course they had none! Let's just say they will be in jail for the holidays!! The owner of the vehicle is so happy meeting him today to get his car back! #LockBoss 🤘

The follower with the flat section? That is so handy when dealing with the crimped cores. While Lab, Lockmonkey etc have padlock followers, that unique Masterlock one is quite useful.
Another fine video fellow #lockboss I think this kit would fit perfectly in a Locksporter's kit cabinet as it is the perfect size. I would only suggest that there be a Master/American slotted follower for crimped cores. Along with a couple keys for rekeying. And of course the staple of American locks, serrated spools.

One thing I wish I could find is Master anti-bump pins. I've not been able to find them anywhere except in certain padlocks, and I don't know if Master even sells them separately. Hi .PJ. Nice kit. I have a suggestion for the rekeying kits, those specifically for one or a couple of brands,. Put a key blank or blanks, ( if for multiple keyways ). Easier for shiming, especially as not everyone cuts keys, so might not have keyblanks to hand. Same as a follower, because I have seen some manufacturers have a specific follower. Just a wild thought through my head.

Since the follower is a different size than what we normally use for house locks (for these is usually around .422) this #LockBoss would like a dedicated follower in this kit with the tension wrenches.
Note that the driver pins are different. Masterlock cylinders have shorter bibles than American and their driver pins (both regular and serrated) are shorter than the American lock (serrated and serrated spool) drivers. If you use the American drivers in a master cylinder, you can end up in a situation where a key cannot be inserted (long keypin being raised by a shallow key cut).
Another handy-dandy rekeying kit - the smaller footprint of them makes it easier to carry more of them in your bag. Smart! #AccessLock&KeyLLC #LockBoss

Which color goes with which size pin? Please be specific about the pin length.If you have old slave keys that are cut can you match the pins to the cut key? How do you rekey without the original key so se most people will want to rekey because original keys are lost
Question for any #lockboss? I am new to the Locksmith trade and still training. Are padlocks still a thing? I see them used in picking demos etc and vendors are stocking of course, but what does the consumer use padlocks for these days, especially where they would want to re-key? Thanks LB's!!
I have MANY Consumers who use Padlocks for Sheds, Garages, Utility Trailers and Hitches. Padlocks are STILL a MUST HAVE. As for the Re-Keying, Consumers LOVE the idea of having them all KEYED THE SAME. Americans and some types of Master Locks are very simple to do this with.
