I think I’ve seen these before. Maybe on this channel? Awesome and I’m sure inexpensive way to get better CG. I’ve got a few applications I love to try this on. Thanks again for refreshing my memory!🙏🏻😝🍻
That's slick! I need to do mine. Not only will it perform better, but it also looks so much better lowered. Looks much more realistic. Thanks, now I don't have to buy shocks. This should also work for my Element RC Enduro Etco which is really tippy out of the box. Best free mod. Subscribed & liked.
nice video ! If the front sits a lil' too low after the angle position, you can still adjust the spring preload ring to win just a little amount of down travel. Also, something i do with my crawlers (1/10 and 1/24) is to split the battery in two (With 2S battery), and put each half on the rock sliders on each side of the frame, a little more to the front, so i can achive a really low COG without too much fuss :)
@@RoadsideRC yeah, for a small battery pack, it's fine in the front, but i do prefer to put heavier packs symetric on each side of the frame, as low as possible :)
I'd just like to share my experience with this mod real quick as I'm still new to the hobby and this might help somebody else! First off, it only works if you run a smaller battery/relocate your battery. A 5,000mah is too big to fit underneath the shock keys unless you somehow relocate it from the stock rear position. A smaller battery like a 2200 should work fine in any mounting spot. Second, it also doesn't work with the stock tires. I tried setting the shocks at every hole for the front, but no matter what, the tires ended up rubbing the shocks too much. I currently don't have any other tires, but will update this if I get to try any more.
I didn't even think about the tire rub. It isn't about the stock tires - it is about trimming the bumper and body. I had already trimmed everything before this video. Get that Dremel out and make some clearance!
@@RoadsideRC ..... in full left or right on my basecamp the fronttires always touched the schoks lightly ......... when i leaned the shocks only 1 or 2 holes backwards, the tires rub haevy ..... 3 or 4 or 5 holes ... no way ...... greetings from Germany
Really cool how the truck is just getting dialed in a little at a time. Great work Troy !!
Thanks Rick!
I was pretty impressed with these at horizon fest. Nice mod Troy
Thanks!
Those shock keys make a big difference I used a set on my element 👍
When appropriate, I use them on all of my trucks. Can't beat the price to help your truck get lower!

Thanks for the tips!
I put the battery all the way in the front, next to the servo. I like to keep the weight up front.

Good to know, I plan on getting a base camp.😁😁👍👍

aren't your tires just rubbing the body all of the time now when it's flexing?
Nope - already trimmed the body. Doesn't take a lot.
What wheels are these? They look awsome

Now I need to try a crawler see if I like it but he had to buy a crawler if I don't really like it you know what I mean
I was always skeptical...then I went out with a group. Really a fun thing to do as a group.
