I own both and love them. That being said, they each have there own faults. APC blows up in 7 hits. The half track, in about 14. APC is way faster, handles much better, and accelerates quicker. The half track can take way more missiles, but is extremely sluggish in every sense. The half track has better pushing power than the insurgent. But only at a stand still, head to head pushing contest. Which nobody is going to allow. But the insurgent can ram better. The insurgent can still push around both of these vehicles. The APC is very bouncy. Always pops wheelies and tends to lose control after collisions and running over vehicles. The half track can get pushed to the side fairly easily still. The half track tends to get stuck way easier over obstacles, with no way of being able to back up. No way of reversing sometimes. It's the only vehicle that can struggle in this sense. You can use the normal canon of the APC if you stop. The half track you must get out and jump in the back. Sometimes your character will get confused if traffic is nearby. So when you try jumping in the back, your character will instead try hijacking an NPC vehicle. Especially depends on which direction your mounted canons are facing. Speaking of, the APC's cannon always rights itself straight forward as soon as it's not in use. The half tracks Canon's remain in whatever position you last left it in. Anyone using the canon on the back of the half track will still be exposed and can easily be killed with an explosion. With the APC, two player's can still use the machine gun's simultaneously. No stopping required. All player's are relatively safe inside the tank. Both vehicles crush other smaller vehicles fairly well. You don't even have to use your weapon's. You can simply run over smaller vehicles, and sometimes that's enough to blow them up, or crush them. The half tracks Cannon's are very powerful. On par with the APC's cannon. The half track has absolutely no side window protection at all. Even with the added armor. It's purely aesthetics. But has decent front window protection. The APC, you're exposed in the front. Also, excuse whatever typos I've done lol. Terrible, I know.
Very well listed strengths and weaknesses. I would like to add that Half-truck doesnt have decent front window defence but the best front window defence, since it is completely bulletproof. Also when a player is on the cannon of the half-truck he will only die from explosions if there is no one else in the front seat.
If anyones wondering this question: two general rule of thumb for heist permitted vehicles are "Can be stored in player owned garages" and "Only land based vehicles". In other words the APC does not fit the second rule because of its amphibious capability, so you cant bring it on heists. The half track however can.
@nicolasyam4834 I also think if the vehicle has its own individual icon on the map (ex: oppressor mk 2 logo looks like itself on the minimap) it would be considered too op for the mission.

Another important aspect you can add to videos is: "Can I take this on missions?"

Half truck is legend
Very helpful video, as usual, but for me the apc wins just because of rc weapons ngl
Ive been watching you for 7 years and u still have same outfit😂
Half track would have been way better than the APC if only if it had explosive rounds and front mounted machine guns for the driver
