We are going on our first ever cruise on Royal Caribbean in May 2015, so I am watching and learning all the info I can. Is the food on the ship free, cause I was under the impression it was part of the overall price when booking. Thanks for all your insightful V-logs.
Ok this video is making me want to go back to February when we were on the Mariner. I miss the food so much! Next cruise in set for October! So excited!
Went on a RC cruise last year. Going on another cruise this year. Did a review video with footage on my past cruise. Inspired by this to do a more in-depth review of RC cruises while dispelling myths. Biggest thing is they do not inform you enough about these areas! You have to find them yourself
Dawn Tucker how was it?! I’m going on the same ship sept 14-20, was there plenty of sushi??? 😂 I am so excited and am expecting to put on 40 pounds with the way these videos look !!! 😩😁
I go on navigator in 4 days to Norway so all your videos about navigator has been very helpful but I have been on independence of the seas though and I would like to go on mariner of the seas
Love your videos! I spent over an hour last night watching your cruise videos. My wife and i are going on our first cruise in a few weeks on RCI Enchantment of the Seas. Thanks for all the tips
Hi Bradley! Thank you for spending all that time with me :-) Listen, I just got off of the Legend of the Seas this morning and will be posting my ship tour video later today, (I hope). The Legend is basically a twin of the Enchantment, so keep checking back. We had a GREAT time and the Enchantment is really basically the perfect size ship for a first cruise. Where will you be cruising to?
Ourt port is Canaveral. Then sailing to Cococay (awesome video!) and Nassau for a 4 day cruise. Driving to Canaveral from Knoxville, TN. I will definitely look for your videos today. Thanks Morgan
I thought it was pretty cool the way you made the names of the food float beneath the dishes. Of course, to the technically savvy, it's probably pretty easy, I imagine.
GWeloved the Windjammer on the Oasis.Wenate there,or one of the specialty restaurants almost every night..they had some curry sauce that I would have been happy with if served in a restaurant onshore.150 Central Park has to be one of the best restaurants afloat, a truly memorable meal.I would say it's a must try on the Oasisor Allure.
Hey Matt. Did you have a bad dinner buffet experience on Royal Caribbean? If so, when? What ship was it and what was bad? We've always been impressed with the food!
I thought it was pretty cool the way you made the names of the dishes float beneath each one. For those who are tech savvy, it's probably no big deal, but I thought it was cool. :)
Just got back from a Caribbean Cruise on the Navigator and food is still good but the setup is not too different after the renovations. funny they are even still using the same plates etc.
oh yes the trip was great. the weather was a bit cool and windy due to a cold front in the Western Caribbean - a couple of the excursions were cancelled due to choppy waters. lots of other excursions though, trips to Mayan ruins and cultural site seeing and we made made chocolate from scratch.
the food looks great and your tour of the Navigator looked pretty cool too. do you know of any of the upgrades/updates the Navigator went though in 2013/14 ... just got off the Celebrity Silhouette 2 days ago AWESOME and have already booked my next cruise for next January on the Royal Caribbean Navigator :)
Lucky guy! I'm pretty sure that by then, all RCCI ships will have the new "Freestyle Dining" concept so it should be quite different than it was when I was on the Navigator. What did you like so much about the Silhouette?
there is so much to LOVE about the Silhouette ... But I think I would start with the crew. They all seemed genuinely happy to be onboard and to help us out with whatever we needed or to answer our questions. When I met our Sommelier in the crew area when we toured the "behind the scenes" she reacted just as if we were acquaintances meeting in the street. The food was awesome and more than plenty, whether it was in the buffet, table service in the main dinning area or in one of the Speciality Restaurants. The onboard amenities were very varied and good fun whether you want to relax by the pool or in the spa or party all night long on the dance floor or casino. The onshore excursions were designed for anyone or everyone depending on the level of effort the guest wanted to put out. As you said in one of your other videos, a cruise certainly is a one stop shop for all your vacation needs and at a great value too.
Sounds fantastic! We have always been interested in Celebrity because we like good food and drinks, but we are afraid a celebrity cruise is missing the "fun" factor that you get on NCL and RCCL. What do you think?
well we had a slightly different perspective as the cruise we just took was a charter so we had some different events not standard to Celebrity. but saying that Celebrity still does on average 3 shows in the large theatre, nightly cabarets in the lounges, the onboard nightclub for dancing, the 3 or 4 bars and casino, pools and spa, arts and crafts in the workshop area and various outdoor events like croquet and lawn bowling. and of course Celebrity plans at least 3-4 excursions per port stop. as this was an adults only cruise I'm not sure what other events they have regularly scheduled for the kids/teens
on the private charters i go on in australia with RCI Radiance of the seas.. we dont have a formal night.. we dress cas but nice and tidy.. much easier and no fuss :)
Booking Royal Caribbean for my family, is it a good experience? pls adv on food and is it free for every restaurant, because the last time we booked the Star Cruise not everything is free
I am a big fan of Royal Caribbean. The Windjammer Cafe is included in the price of your cruise, as well as a few other restaurants. Certain specialty restaurants will cost you more, but you can find that out on the RCCL website. Which ship will you be on?
Very unOfficial Travel Guides thanks for the reply! And yes, our honeymoon in October on the Anthem of the Seas. We’re very excited for our first cruise!
+LoneLuncherUF Good question! I think I edited the video really soon after we finished our cruise... or maybe I just made them up! The video is 3 years old now, so I really don't know anymore :-/
Very unOfficial Travel Guides I loved them, but if nobody was looking, I put them in a glass. I'd recommend skipping the windjammer for breakfast. The solarium cafe is the best!
Glad this popped up. It makes me want to get onboard just for the lunch buffet.
I love how you labeled everything. Great video!!

Question abouy Cococay... we are going to buy one of beverage packages that includes alcohol... will that cover beers and drinks on the island?
Yes! The island is like an extension of the ship.
Yummy, thanks for the tour of the food.
I thought it was pretty cool the way you made the names of the food float beneath the dishes. Of course, to the technically savvy, it's probably pretty easy, I imagine.
Free and fresh! Are you planning a cruise?

Thanks for the advice!
OMG! What was that dark chocolate dessert on the plate with the 2 other desserts!? It looks amazing! I MUST MUST try!
I worked for RC as a restaurant staff. Also at the Windjammer =))
Nostalgic to watch this ))
Oh, that's nice. What ship(s) were you on?
on Serenade of the Seas
Awe.. I miss the windjammer. Yum. Don't forget the SNACKS!! I can't wait to cruise again
Hey Matt. Did you have a bad dinner buffet experience on Royal Caribbean? If so, when? What ship was it and what was bad? We've always been impressed with the food!
Nope always great food!

Those burgers... I'm drooling just thinking about them
Really good food on Allure of the Seas.
Hehe. Good desserts. Thanks for sharing. Appreciated. 👍
Oh yes, the desserts are great! (I prefer the savoury stuff, though).
Thanks for the words letting us know the food items.
You're welcome! Hungry now? Are you planning a cruise soon?
I want to go in a cruise. Seems like a great deal. Which cruise line though??
I have made a few videos about that subject as well :-)
Who wouldn't miss having all the great food and not having to cook or clean up???? :-) Question: Have you ever eaten lunch in the main dining room?
Awesome video!!!
Just got back from a Caribbean Cruise on the Navigator and food is still good but the setup is not too different after the renovations. funny they are even still using the same plates etc.
+neil clifford But otherwise did you have a good time?
oh yes the trip was great. the weather was a bit cool and windy due to a cold front in the Western Caribbean - a couple of the excursions were cancelled due to choppy waters. lots of other excursions though, trips to Mayan ruins and cultural site seeing and we made made chocolate from scratch.

+Very unOfficial Travel Guides ah i see... getting onto 1 in a month's time and found your vid. didn't realise it's 3 yo lol... anyway nice vid :)

That's a good way to put it! Are you planning on cruising soon?

If you watch the video again more closely, I think you will answer your own question.
hahaha i see some menu made from it 😂 at least they have another menu made from beef or fish lol
been there done it its the dogs just do it lol!!!!!!!!
For all the things they did well (fruit soups) Those buttermilk biscuits could break a toe if you dropped one X-D
LOL! Very true! And I must say, I am totally not a fan of the fruit soups. Do you like them?
Very unOfficial Travel Guides I loved them, but if nobody was looking, I put them in a glass. I'd recommend skipping the windjammer for breakfast. The solarium cafe is the best!
Haha. I told "that person" and he apologizes for causing a cringe :-)
The windjammer has better food than your dinners at night ( Which is sad )
I know what I'll be having. I did cringe when that person mixed the wasabi into the soy sauce. What a faux pas!
bperetto that’s delicious are you crazy?!
