Gives it a nice touch to close the album. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear this. I picture like a send off to a loved one; filled with sadness... yet hope for a chance of not an eternal goodbye. It gives it a subtle religious feel to it.
I wanta see Hammock, explosions, mogawi, godspeed, 65daysofstatic, and maybeshewill, all in concert I think that will be the closest to heaven we can get with being alive.
" I felt a funeral in my brain And mourners, to and fro Kept treading, treading, till it seemed That sense was breaking through. And when they all were seated A service like a drum Kept beating, beating, till I thought My mind was going numb And then I heard them lift a box And creak across my soul With those same boots of lead, again Then space began to toll As all the heavens were a bell And Being but an ear And I and silence some strange race Wrecked, solitary, here And then a plank in Reason broke And I fell down and down And hit a world with every plunge And finished knowing, then" - Emily Dickinson
The voice at the end of this beautiful track makes me think that this is a very special and personal one for the Hammock boys. Lots of love from New Zealand ambient/post rock band Tripzville
Wayne Thomson I guess. Maybe it`s due to the similar choice of instrumentation (different pads and swells) though M83 of course is very different rhythmically :)
Just what I was thinking. M83's feels more... ethereal? spacey? while Hammock's sounds like the stirring and uplifting version of it. Both great in their own way. Similar songs but their vibes are like night and day.
@@tripzville7569 I just see it forced down peoples throats on a daily basis, that's why its not simple cause people see it as a threat, like my favorite countries have been ruined by it cause of how it was handled by routing out the native population with a other population. Now I'm not trying to start anything, Its just how I see it, and agree that if things were better humanity would have alot more to offer and be better off, I know for one thing, I love me chinese orange chicken lol
@@bluenightfury4365 Hello friend thanks for connecting again. Chinese orange chicken sounds delicious. Tell you what this Hammock track wrecks me every time [im in tears again]. I know all about what you speak about and it is PURE EVIL and has nothing to do with the Unity I hope for. Blessings from New Zealand.
This feels like the theme of the world grieving for its lost humanity doing nothing while watching Gaza (Palestine) under attack.. children being killed as their home roofs crash down over their heads with Israeli rockets.

Divine, melancholic, final. Perfect way to say goodbye
Indeed it is my unknown friend
I love listening to Hammock as I wallow in my justified sadness.
This has serious M83 vibes about it. Lovely.
M83 can't compare
Someone stated that this sounded like "M83 where the boats go"

The future of humanity is UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
If only it were that simple.
@@bluenightfury4365 Thanks for your reply my unknown friend. You are right ,it will not be simple and it will not be painless, but it will be.
