Ashton is one of my favorite characters but I'm very disappointed that they kept the stupid Creepy and Weepy names for the dragons in this version instead of going back to the original ones. Sure they're a bit hard to pronounce at first but Gyouro and Ururun were much cooler names.
My party set up: Rena: Rena, Claude, Celine, Ashton, Precis, Dias, Welch, Chisato/Noel. Claude: Claude, Rena, Celine, Opera, Ernest, Bowman, Leon, Chisato/Noel I dont know maybe u guys have party combination suggestion for Private Action/Quest/Chest etc.
Jusy beat my first playthrough my final team consist of: Claude, Opera, Rena, Chisato, Leon, Celine, Welch, Ernest I cant wait wait to play as Rena and get Diaz 😊
@erickreyes7902 no he isnt. Ernest is still optional. And ernest is much better in the remake. You can have opera and no ernest. Have you never played? Jesus
Pretty much Opera was there for her healing star BUT AFTER 999 uses of the skill and a TONS of RNG Machinery crafting. By that time, you would rather got Eternal Sphere and Ashton early ultimate weapon instead.

I can't even imagine not recruiting Opera
The only downside in recruiting opera is ERNEST is an automatic recruit...
Same here since Ashton SUCKS.

What event need to trigger to get him

The king won’t give me permission! No option though I talked to the guard in the mountains and in the castle
I skip Opera and Ernest every time with Claude. With Rena I skip Ashton and have Dias
