Greg Norman I would say is one of the greatest putters of all time. It was probably the best part of his game, something that people don't really think about too much because he was such a good ball striker, so the birdies always got attributed to his long game.

@@AlonsoRules He was in position to win the 1986, 1987, 1996 and 1999 masters. He easily could have won all 4 of those, and if he did he would be remembered in the same league as someone like Arnold Palmer or Garry Player, but he didn't so he is Greg Norman

@@AlonsoRules I always think if he had won 1987 and 1996 he would have been getting the jacket from Jack, and giving the Jacket to Tiger, and he would never have been forgotten.

Who would you rather be Greg Norman or Tiger Woods. Greg has had a way better life than Tiger, and still has.

I think that’s probably right, but I think Sharks lost himself along the way.

You cannot finish with 3 bogies and expect to win Brian.
I am not sure if you're still alive, or whether or not you knew that back then,
but 3 bogies isn't how it works.

Who saw his destiny back then to be probably the unluckiest golfer of all time. If it wasn’t for bad luck he’d have had no luck at all.

It sure would have been nice if he won at least one of those masters and us Opens he came so close to winning but an amazing player who came within a few loose swings of being an all time great

Norman repeatedly shot himself in the foot. Had nothing to do with bad luck. E.g. he had 6 bogeys on the final day at the Masters in '87, he could have closed the door on Mize and Ballesteros without any playoff. '86 PGA he shot 5 over on the final day after being 11 under for the first 3 rounds, could have easily shut Tway out of it prior to the bunker shot. Nearly every single defeat he had in majors when he was in serious contention was his own doing with mistakes and poor play at crucial times.

He had plenty of good fortune.
