  • I bought some olive seeds in 2016 on amazon and germinated them. This olive tree has always been in small pot due to a lack of space in my house. I let it grow out and then prune it back hard. This little olive tree is slowly taking shape as a bonsai.

There is nothing better than rebudding after a hard prune!!! Its growing really well and the trunk is getting some age to it. Nice tree!!!

Yeah I love seeing new buds too. It always means there will be twice as much pruning needed next time, which I love.

I didn’t realise how far it had come until I started this video. Hopefully in another few years will actually start to take shape. Cheers for watching :)

Thanks. All I know is it’s from that same pack olea europaea as my other olive. Thanks for watching :)

Would you happen to have a link to the seeds you bought and instructions on how you germinated the seeds? I'm having a bunch of trouble getting mine to germinate.

I just got them from amazon - amzn.to/3K0znYN
as for germinating, i cant remember exactly. im fairly sure i just soaked them in water for 24hrs, then wraped in paper towel and places them in a zip lock bag ...and put that in the freezer. not sure how many weeks. 6 maybe. they started germinating in there actually. then i took them out and planted them in soil and away they went
