I am a marine engineer, I am your subscriber your videos are more information and very useful. I appreciate your efforts. On ship earthing is different from land earthing. We handle very high voltages so we use insulated neutral system. Where all the motors and generators earthing point is connected. It will all be connected to ships hull. Same as lighting also connected to ships hull. From ships hull through sea water the excess current is nullified. Simple ah sollanumna கப்பல் ஒரு இரும்பு, அது முலமாக earthing ஆகிடும். கரண்ட் எப்பவுமே low resistance path முலமாக செல்லும் அதனால் உள் irru பவர்களுக்கு ஷாக் adikkaathu

Sir, please note in India as per NBC-2016 ( National building code ) Lightning protection system like ESE air terminal are banned because it's not scientifically proven to provide protection for radius of 50 meters or more .Also there is no backup from IEC - 62305 standards for ESE Air terminal.

There's a lot of controversy with ESE, cable down conductor and copper bonded earth rod (linked with cost).
If you really care, do as per norms irrespective of the cost.
