Do it which ever way you want it. Don’t need to impose your standard onto others. Don’t focus on the wrong things. Work on your marriage. Not so much on your proposal & wedding
My husband and I only wear rings in Singapore. If he goes to the gym or overseas or if we are just going for dinner, I told him not to wear it because I don’t want any situation where he loses it. It’s financial sense, women should be less controlling over this because if your husband loses it it’s gna cause a fight. Also, if he wants to cheat, he will cheat even with the ring on.

I love many things about this podcast, but my favourite is watching JP's growth in maturity. Although I can't tell if I'm just getting used to his nonsense, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. 😜
Dan is right. You need to take videos and photos. People get old and forget. When you get older you only remember the bad stuff, so thats why you need videos of good times, so you can reflect and recalibrate.
It’s so true! I wished I had a video of my proposal! My boyfriend hired photographers when he proposed to me so I’m very grateful to have some sort of memory I can view back many years from now. I wished I had a video of it because I was so emotional and crying that I couldn’t remember what he said to me when it happened. I only remember the emotion of feeling very touched by him and saying yes.
As a girlfriend who proposed to her boyfriend, I was hoping to hear perspectives from guys who would like to be proposed to 😂 I encountered a beautiful moment where everything fell into place that I just had to take that opportunity to proclaim my love and commitment to him. It wasn’t planned, but I had a ring on me just in case. Feel very lucky to be able to make that special moment ours in that sense and his reaction is so good 😂
I love the podcast a lot but seems like Jared and Sher proves to me that you don't need to be super matured/ ready to get married. Like you can just figure out later when you're together as long as they're the right one. Am I safe to assume this? hmm
It might be a good idea to purchase an expensive-looking inexpensive ring to wear for certain occasions if you are afraid to lose the expensive one. :)
I think we're all stuck in the traditional route, the hamster wheel for external validations - when it comes to education, marriage and career. I believe we should take charge in what we believe in - rather than be swayed by other's opinions and beliefs, afterall people are not actually living our life. Stay true to your own values and goals to live a meaningful life. So kudos to you sherms for taking that leap of faith to propose, women empowerment right there! 🥳🥳🥳
SAME 😭💕Tbh watching their old podcast episodes up till now with Dan talking about his relationship with Nat you can really see how much he grew and continue to love her (of course this is from a mere subscriber's perspective only)
i think nowadays people think alot on proposals, weddings and etc. sometimes simple is better, less stress and less financial burden. people start to have the realization after all these things cost a bomb especially the high inflation.
Denise: “Why is the timeline always dependent on the men?” Because society expects the men to take care of the household, the safety net and the wellbeing of the family. Hence why men hold the decision to marriage, and why women hold the decision to bearing offspring. If Denise, being the masculine partner, were to propose to her feminine partner without warning and with no financial stability, Denise will definitely get rejected. Vice Versa. Whoever says LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED…. watches too much Disney movies
I proposed to my partner 2 months back. I built my ring from scratch, planned the proposal and got approval from her parents. All the while pulling that ring-pop proposal and having some fun playing the role of "proposal isn't important to me" made the entire proposal memorable for the both of us. 🤣
Sad to think that people would turn down a proposal from the person they love over how or where they were proposed to..when you love someone, you will say yes, regardless of who proposes/how the proposal was set up ( location , ambience etc)
Not able to get response. I m new to social media podcast but found yr podcast interesting. However yr episodes does not have time stamp n beung reading *past news* Can u consider time stamping? Furthermore - with due respect n pardon my ignorance- observed subtitles wordings have much spelling error etc.. is it deliberate bec understand yr podcast has editing before broadcast right. RUclips has auto-generated subtitles for videos and they are about 40% accurate. And it works better if it's a non-Singaporean since the algorithm is more suited for American/British accent.
Why waiting for the man to be ready ? Coz he has to give up all his rights under women charter. Also, women are born with value but it diminishes over time for the guy while, the guy have to create their value over time..

Engagement rings are different from the wedding rings (which are usually flat), so Sherm's reasoning doesn't really fly here
We didn't do any proposal at all. I told my wife that we should get married. And we are still together with 2 kids after 14 years. Haha.
