I knew I had outgrown my friendship when I didn't want to travel back home on public transport with that friend even when we live in the same area. It's too tiring to maintain a conversation and too awkward to stay silent

Omg like that say, I think I've outgrown this **aspect** of friendship. Like, if I spent the past 3 hours with you over lunch and (dunno, random shit like browsing a museum or a mall or lepaking at a cafe), or I spent 3h with you in part-time evening class, or even worse like spent office hour lunch with you + already working with you ... and then must continue to smalltalk just cos we take the same MRT line home and you wna change line at Circle Line or red line or smtg. Then must small talk until there when my brain is gna baozha from sensory overload? Kthxbye, you can board the train first. I'll pretend I need to run some family errands 🙃🤪😂
edit1: it's even worse when they're travelling in the same direction as you are and *don't need* to change train. Eg, Clarke Quay to Kovan. Or Dhoby Ghaut to TPY. That sorta thing 🙃🤪🙃🤪

You guys should really talk about the Kinderland childcare abuse case. Lots of young parents in Singapore are angry with them !!
I don't have kids and I don't know friends with kids in Kinderland (it's mostly Sparkletots, My First Skool, random church kindergartens, or private) but like now I'm just thankful I don't know anyone['s kids] in Kinderland and I'm never putting my hypothetical child there. 🙃
The elephant thing was so cute
Had the exact same experience as sherms. Friend’s very talkative so i tend to be pretty quiet so as to be a good listener. But yeah when it’s my rare turn to talk, it was social media time for her lol.
Managed to make it work out in the end though. Actually she got upset at me when i brought it up! But she eventually changed for the better. Good friends till today which is an outcome i’m thankful for.
JP also very relatable. I’m the exact same way with the random meetup then goodbye for a period of time. I’m more of “absence makes the heart forget” rather than “absence makes the heart fonder” lol.
But as time goes by - i think i’m around the same age - i’m starting to be concerned that this is not the right way lol. Baby steps. Got initiate texts sometimes now haha.

went to joya onsen in sg with my friends, we really bonded rly well altho awk at first, after a while not shy alr :))
In some ways it also reflects on our love relationships/marriages these days.
No straight guy will go onsen with another guy alone and onsen in singapore are not unisex so basically it does not work for guys.
