    Just clarifying one small mistake, this is the Reno 8 Pro PLUS. The Reno 8 series has three phones: the Reno 8, 8 Pro, and 8 Pro Plus. I just wanted to clarify because I use a Reno 8 Pro so I was kind of confused with this review. But I figured it our pretty quickly and I hope no one else gets confused by this. Don't get me wrong- it's a great phone and a great review video. Just realising that many people are getting this wrong and wanted to clarify.

      Oh, made a mistake here. I did some research and found out because I am a resident of China, we have an additional Reno 8 Pro Plus series which is also the Reno 8 Pro global version. The Reno 8 Pro that is in China just doesn't exist outside, which is a bummer, really, because I feel like the Chinese version of the Reno 8 Pro was what OPPO really worked on in terms of the texture and overall, the value. I am really surprised to find this difference.

    An excellent well balanced review sir. I mean, if they could have provided a OIS and a proper ultrawide sensor this could have become a phone to beat. In this phone they have provided very good signal reception and connectivity like Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 with NFC. Also 30-100% charge in just 10 minutes! I don't have to wait for hours to charge like my iphone. Overall it is an interesting phone as it has got 12 gb of ram and also doesn't heat much while playing intensive graphic games. Hmm...considering it is cheaper than iphone 12, I could save a few bucks and go for it as well.

    • @dragonforcegaming7555
      @dragonforcegaming7555 Год назад +2

      Ultrawide is decent tbh. Most phones provide an 8mp Ultrawide nowadays instead of a 12mp one. As for OIS, maybe next time they will. OIS has never been a part of Reno Series since the early days. Reno's main highlight is its extreme EIS that can even manage the shakiness of a race track.

    I got the Oppo Reno 8 Pro since a week and have tried the camera. Main camera is very good, wide is OK, but macro sucks as it has only a 4 cm fixed focus. About video there is no +- EV exposure/brightness control only in Pro photo mode!? Selfie camera gives sharp but somewhat overexposed images, but once again no +- EV control! This can ofcourse be changed in postedit, but I think this feature is usually a standard on all cameras, so I don´t understand why Oppo doesn´t have implemented it on their video mode!?

Got to play with the newer ones as well and they're still dog shit. Only plus point about Oppo is the built quality and camera. Outside of that, you're better of setting them on fire. There are no UI related issues on the Realme or Oppo phones with ColorOS 11, ColorOS 12 and ColorOS 13 updates. Only OnePlus phones had issues for some weird reason.
      So it's neither the fault of Oppo nor ColorOS on the phone but it's the fault of the ones who were working on optimising ColorOS for OnePlus phones. When the merger happened and OnePlus mixed it's OxygenOS with ColorOS 11 it was working fine, just like a Realme or Oppo phone running the software would be, but as soon as OnePlus phones started getting ColorOS 12 updates on their phones, major issues started to rise. In the end, OnePlus had to rework on their version of colorOS and made a fork of ColorOS 11 with some features of ColorOS 12. Whereas Realme and Oppo phones, even their most trash series like C-series(Realme) and A-series(Oppo) were working fine and smooth with colorOS 12 update yet OnePlus was getting all issues which didn't exist on either of the oppo or Realme phones.

      @@bamaboy2711 actually it did especially with ColorOS 12. OnePlus and Oppo merger's first product was OxygenOS 11 that was launched with OP Nord which was widely received without any issues. But as soon as it came to OxygenOS 12 on OnePlus phones which was to be based on ColorOS 12's codebase there was some issue which caused all sorts of problems on OnePlus phones. But the most surprising part was that those problems never came to Oppo or Realme phones running the same ColorOS 12(RMUI 3 for Realme). I am currently using Oppo k10(budget segment phone) that arrived with ColorOS 11(it was smooth and optimised af) and it received ColorOS 12 some months ago, yet there were not a single issues I faced that were reminiscent of OnePlus's case. So from personal experience i can say that ColorOS is better than every other UI in terms of smoothness, Optimisation and Customisation after One UI on Samsung's Flagship phones. You can see the programs and apps in the settings lol. Not a huge issue since its Android 13 now. You can basically nit-pick perms.
      Also no need to worry, it doesn't has that. The only problem Oppo phones used to have was their phone manager which was developed by Cheetah Mobile(known as a security providing company but does the opposite). They have completely cut ties with Cheetah mobile or any such brands now and rather gives Anti-virus engine of Avast and Avira
