Oh Canada - as gaeilge (in Irish)

  • Caitríona Ní Chonaola, from An Cheathrú Rua in Ireland translated the Canadian National Anthem 'O Canada' into Irish, and here is is being sung by a number of Canadians who were in Ireland to learn the Irish Language in June 2014.
    The Canadians were attending the annual Intensive Irish Language Programme in the Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge, National University of Ireland, Galway which is located in in An Cheathrú Rua.
    In a programme supported by the Dept. of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, these learners were supported in attending this course by Ireland Canada University Foundation and their home universities.
    Caitríona Ní Cholaola is currently the ICUF Teagascóir Gaeilge (Irish Language Instructor) in Moemorial UNiversity Newfoundland.
