Thanks Hannah! And oh gosh that's probably a healthy conclusion to come to while you're in your Vegas Era. Unless cactus gardens are a possibility?? Haha I have no idea what grows in Vegas!
Totally legitimate conclusion, however! Have you seen Growing in the Garden? She gardens in lower desert Arizona and might have some helpful info for you if you want to try again!
6:08 I’m not a flower planter…well I do plant them but it’s to attract pollinators. I do love this concept for my market gardens. I have 7 large raised beds,4 in ground beds, a dwarf fruit orchard, I have hydroponics in my greenhouse as well as several vertical towers so I can really see the benefits of this succession planting layout. Very useful with all the food I need to keep track of. Oh and not that this is remotely relevant but we planted a field of sunflowers to break up soil for new beds and they are over 6 ft tall already. That part is just because I’m excited 😀
First of all- thank you! 2nd: Maby, we want pics of your gorgeous garden! 3rd: Nancy that progression was awesome and team Fuirk is immediately adopting the last iteration!! Your mama is gonna love it. 4th: Maby/ every time I share a perennial I imagine it’s future so far down the road that nothing is left but an old foundation and a chimney but the plant has been shared and shared and shared and now thousands of people are cutting flowers and drooling over this one super lovely plant.
Rebecca: thank YOU for your excellent planner strategies/ideas! You are a true inspo! We will definitely be doing an update on Mabby's garden progress. And also we will forever think of sharing perennials in your poetic way ❤ love the beauty of it all!
This is incredible. Question for planting time: you are in Charlottesville? I’m in western ny so I have to gage differently…. LOVE that project planner for this! Wow!
We had the simplest flowers around our home growing up: two flourishing rose bushes on either side of our small front lawn; two window boxes filled with 3 colors of petunias; tulips along the base of the house; and a large lilac bush in the back yard, which I miss most of all. Now about those purple covers on the new planner release... 💜
The simplest flowers are perhaps the best flowers! Your childhood home sounds lovely 🥰 As for the purple covers, the wait is almost over, they'll be here so soon!
Nancy’s final solution for her mom’s planner is amazing!
Cutest group of gals ever! Also - living my will-never-have-a-garden-as-long-as-I-live-in-Vegas era. Mourning my garden days.

Yes, we're in Charlottesville!
Mabby, have you ever looked through Baker’s Creeks seed catalog. I just swoon over it every year.
It's my favorite - the pictures alone are gorgeous! - Mabby
OKay, can I get pictures of the garden pages?! I want to combine them all! Such a good idea, maybe my garden won't die next year.
We have a blog post with pictures coming later this year!
I have 11 of those containers for seed storage. I have a problem 😂

But… what about the temperature & weather on the monthly?
Ooohh yes!!!
