Nagato hims of would get wrecked, the six paths I'm not so sure as they are corpse puppets don't think kuma would be able to use the emotion powers that would wreck nagato so hard
I like how the power of this fruit is basically "movement"/deflection/repelling. And it's also how Kuma gets around so fast. It's a shame what Kuma has been reduced to.
Such a shame that he got reduced to that even in the context of him working with the World Government. Trying to use this fruit to heal is a bad idea. Kuma said himself that he repelled Luffy's pain, but the damage still remained. If you broke your leg and then pushed away the pain, you'd still have a broken leg.
We already got some in the Reverie arc. Sabo and the revolutionary captains talk about how Kuma was the king of a country (Jewelry Bonnie's home country) and he did something to oppose the World Government. As punishment he lost his crown and was used as a test subject.

This fruit reminds me of the stand from Jojo The Hand because The Hand can erase anything and Nikyu Nikyu No Mi can repel anything and if Kuma repels some to a faraway place it looks like they gotten erased by Kuma. The user of The Hand Nijimura Okuyasu can also erase the air and can bring him or his opponent closer to him like Kuma repelling himself.
Hey. Just wanna ask a "What If" scenario. What if Kuma fought Blackbeard, more specifically Nikyu-Nikyu no mi vs Yami-Yami no mi. So does Kuma repell absorption or Blackbeard absord repell. Unless Blackbeard can also Nullify the repell ability that the Paw Paw fruit has, or Kuma's devil fruit can actually counter the absorption ability or maybe even the nullify ability of the Yami-Yami no mi. Or maybe the awakening of the Paw Paw fruit is an enhanced version of repell that can actually repell an ability or just a Devil fruit itself and be encased on a Floating paw making the ability or the DF available for the taking without eating the fruit itself, like maybe what the Yami-Yami no mi does.

I have to wonder if it's naturally this powerful or if it's Kuma that makes it so powerful. Repelling abstract concepts seems like a stretch for something that essentially just gives paw pads to the user. In fact, maybe Kuma already awakened it. It would make more sense for the base form of the fruit to prevent physical damage with awakening enhancing that to the ability to repel anything.
This fruit is just absurdly strong. I mean, Kuma could just defeat every Opponent. Kaido? No Problem, just send him Into the calm belt. I mean, i don't think you can really do anything against it.
Well, avoid the paws is a counter. Not an easy counter, but some weird movement tricks, inhuman speed, excellent stealth, and simply multiple attacks from different angles can get around it at least some of the time. Probably can't repel things the user isn't aware of either, so effects that nerf your senses, knock you out, or just attacking while he's sleeping all work.
Nice examination of Kuma's fruit. Next week, we start with the AVALANCHE of fruits introduced in the short, but densely packed with content, Sabaody Archipelago arc. And it looks like we are starting off with Law's fruit, the Ope Ope no Mi; no lie, when the fruit came up on screen at the end, I was framing it with my hands in a heart shape. Seriously, this is a fan favorite because of how badass and damaged Law's character really is.

I really dig this fruit. It seems like the most abstract and mysterious but I don’t think I like the idea that if someone cut off your hands - it’s over.
Also in terms of repelling depression, that won't work. Depression is a lack of emotion so theoretically this attempt would just make it worse, however one could sacrifice a bit of their emotion and give it to someone with depression.
I do have to wonder if it's already awakened and that's the reason why Kuma can repel seemingly anything. After all I feel like it would make sense if the base level abilities of the fruit were just to repel physical objects, and at much slower speeds, or at least only up to equal speeds to how fast it hit their paws. Then the awakening abilities are that it expands this repelling power to things like energy and other non-solid objects, lets you repel things faster than when they struck you, and even eventually lets you repel abstract concepts.
One of the simplest fruits in concept, but the applications are completely insane. Edit - So does the thing at 7:33 count as jazz hands or rave hands? And I thought Marvel had amazing post credit scenes.
All of the fruits this was what I wanted haha. It's crazy op if you know how to use it. You can teleport. Yourself or your friends to anywhere. Can't win the fight? Run away by teleport or teleport them away. Easy. You can deflect attacks. You can attack long range or short. You can make a bomb wipe out everyone. You can be a good support. Heal your friends take your friends damage and give it to enemies. Crazy op
Idk 40 years with that fruit I wouldn't be surprised if he was awakened especially by the time he was a cyborg/warlord & before this past ch ppl thought he didn't have haki but he does we should wait & see
imagine talking all the pain caused in marineford compressing it down like the ursa shock and then releasing it on a group of enemies scary scary stuff.
The one thing I feel like people forget regarding this fruit is that in the hands of a normal size person, the Ursa’s shock would be worthless, it’s partially because of Kuma’s ludicrous wingspan he can make it so destructive. Not only that, but unless your reflexes or observation haki are *on point* you won’t likely be deflecting Jack shit, so the only real value this fruit offers is instant movement, and even then, it’s heavily implied that would still be nearly impossible for a normal person as it requires insane spacial awareness to not repel yourself to the wrong spot. Like, the Nikyu-Nikyu no Mi is actually only as strong as it is *because the wielder was already ludicrously strong.* I think, in the (literal) hands of someone more average, it would be awful. More so than almost any other Devil Fruit, this fruit feels like a straight power *multiplier.* If you’re already strong; you become ludicrously strong; but if you’re weak? 2x0 is still zero.
Pretty cool breakdown. Question though, why do these paws redlect. Why isn't it just the paws? Is the power just repulsion taking the curious form of paws?
I find it a little bit ridiculous they finished a battle filled with the logic and theme of not feeling pain does not mean strength and healing. Chopper stated the zombies still had weakness and damage to their bodies despite not feeling pain. Then they go and break that logic/them to say because luffys pain was repelled , he was suddenly healed
Probably because Kuma uses it in much the same way Luffy uses the Gum-Gum fruit: Both powers are kind of silly & impractical on paper, but with some creativity & training they've both become terrifyingly powerful opponents.
I mean this fruit is potentially as/more useful than the Ope Ope No Mi if it can repel and dispel things like pain, injuries, fatigue, traumatic memories? memories in general? Craziness!!
Playing with my cat's paws repels my pain and fatigue. 100% accurate. But dang, imagine being able to repel your own fatigue & pain in order to throw it at your opponent.
This thing might be th real ultimate devil fruit, based off of him repelling pain he could touch himself and repel age (you know if hes wasnt a cyborg, with his aging now being an unexplored topic) and maybe even death
If Kuma repeals someone to a distance of 4 days, given that the human body can't survive more than three days without water, is he able to essentially kill anyone by sending them far away?
Spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached the Sabodi Archipelago I remember watching the episode "last day of the Strawhat Crew" where Kuma fought Luffy and friends in the Sabodi Archipelago. I was so shocked seeing each member of the crew disappear like that. I honestly thought they were dead and at that point I realized how attached I was to the characters. The whole fight reminded me of the first encounter with Mihawk where nothing our heroes tried had any real effect. I wonder if the awakened form of this fruit would almost act like a variant of haki if kuma could place paws all over his body?
Wow this devil fruits concept for travel is hard for me to to understand. Is it space time based or is it concept manifested within reason due to the fact that the repel affect in physical objects do take into account the aspect of time and space within the verse. Fascinating
I’ll be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I love how it has been implemented so far in the story, but it’s also pushing it in being ridiculous even for Oda XD
For such a silly name, this DF is one of the most powerful of them all. Repelling ANYTHING including pain itself makes this very scary.

Nagato: The world will know Pain.
Kuma: Hold my gloves. I'm about to end this man's whole career.
I think the awakening of this fruit is that you won't need to touch something to repel it.
3 days in the air is crazy
MY BOY LAW IS NEXT?! FUCK YEAH
Spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached the Sabodi Archipelago
I remember watching the episode "last day of the Strawhat Crew" where Kuma fought Luffy and friends in the Sabodi Archipelago.
2:20 newest chapter explains
he could push planets out of orbit
does he have paws on his feet
Oh hell yes. Law's fruit is going to be a good video
Took you long enough to add the paw paw to this list ^_^
That's what happens when you do them in order of appearance~
@GrandLineReview true I shoulda known that
Wow this devil fruits concept for travel is hard for me to to understand. Is it space time based or is it concept manifested within reason due to the fact that the repel affect in physical objects do take into account the aspect of time and space within the verse. Fascinating
I've been waiting to get on paws on this one!
just a correction
he said he repelled them at the speed of light, which doesn't mean the substance itself is sol
I think it already is awakened. That's why he can push intangible things like pain. Maybe the basic use is only physical things
I’ll be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I love how it has been implemented so far in the story, but it’s also pushing it in being ridiculous even for Oda XD
Yes the paw paw fruit. If I where to eat any devil fruit, this one would be it.
